SFGAM Super Invertigo

If you look at the rumor filled site (I won't mention any names. They mentioned that the new Invertigo will change the layout of the park, by forcing the guests to make their way through Southwest Territory. IMO this may make getting through the park on that side a bit longer and only put more traffic through the Southwest.

What are your opinions.

But then you wont miss anything on your way around the park. Even though it will mean more traffic you wont have to chose wich way to go. IMO it will be better.

Hey I was just wondering if this statement is true?
This sounds to be a true staement. I have heard from various sources. It wouldn't surprise me if this rumor does come true.

I personally dont believe this to be true... the covered walk, in my opinion, could fit underneath the super invertigo, i doubt the track is thaaaat low... anyway, i am sure they could move that path farther out so you can walk more under the cobra roll or where the track starts to curve upward,, that would suck if you had to walk through SW territory
I highly doubt that this rumor is true. I don't think that this ride will be all that big, plus like Badnitrus said they could put path under the ride(Now that would be cool).

Millennium Force all the way!
I agree too. There is no way that can happen. The park is one BIG cirlce, and the layout works very well. It would only ruin the layout. I hope this doesn't happen. It would be to hard to get to rides....

"4 Seats are better than 2"

This better not happen. The layout is fine as it is. No need to change it. If they do that all of the GP will see Raging Bull and say "Oh that looks good and we're so close, let's go on it." That will make for longer lines which is bad.

Jack, who can't wait for Opening Day 2001...
I really hope this will NOT happen...if you are really familiar with SFGAm, it already takes a very long time to get from one side of the park to the other. It's so bad IMO. They need to have some sort of path from the Yankee Harbor section to HomeTown Square which I think would be involving making it below the end part of Batman: The Ride. But it would make life a lot easier to cut thru that section then have to walk all the way around the park.

Here's a park map if you don't know the layout very well:

You know, that might not be such a bad thing. First off, the layout wont be ruined because the park will still be one big honkin circle. Second the midway through SWT (southwest territory not sea world texas :)) is very wide and could hold the crowds quite well. The giant Drop and RB queues do a good job of keeping waiters off the main path. The only thing that might be a problem is the SWT/Hometown Square junction. The Viper queue is notorios for being out on the midway. With increase traffic through that zone, things migh get a little hairy. BUT if they keep all the zigzag queue rails open, even that shouldn't be much of a problem. With SkyWhirl gone and perhaps the kiddie rides gone/moved too, there isn't much on that path besides the S-I anyway. Plus it gives them extra foot traffic past the "RainMaker" show and (more importantly) the SWT shops and restaurants....(as ROI creeps back into consciousness :)).

Viper queue onto the midway, wow. You can tell I never go there on a really crowded day since I have never even seen it enter it's queue section by the soda machines. Of course it takes forever once you get into the station, but it's worth it!

They really need to put a path that cuts right under Batman:The Ride or that splits the circle layout in half. It does take forever to get across the park. Maybe they could put some sort of sky ride or something of that sort that takes you across the park.

Millennium Force all the way!
i just hope that everything works out and we get our 2 coasters. thats all i want. ill walk anywhere they want as long as they give us these two coaster. i also heard the super invertiogo can hold 56 people is this true?

Trust me bhilk, you WONT want to take that detour around the southwest territory. It would be a pain in the ***. I've gone there enough times to figure that out.

Millennium Force all the way!
If they did that, they would have to re-route Demon's line
I don't think they will reroute that midway into County Fair. It's all in the placement of the ride. Moving all the traffic into Southwest Territory would be a bad move.

I think there will be enough room to fit the S-I without having to drastically modify the park layout.
Yes Glitchey, I also know the layout very well, and if you think about it, MANY rides will be blocked off, the entrances mostly. Thinka about it, Splash Water Falls, Demon, Orbit, The Antique Race cars and I'm probably forgetting more.... If they have a solution to all these problems, then fine, but what if they don't......?

I hope they think of something.

Actually, the only attractions effected would be the Demon queue area, the "wall", the hotdog place and that games booth (maybe Demon Nachos?). If they moved Demon's queue and removed the games and possibly a few other small structures, that existing midway could easily be removed now that Sky Whirl is gone.

Also, Wintrode (park president), when asked, talked about how much they liked the single loop layout of the park. I just hope they do something cool with that area.
