SFGAm Strategy!

Now that we only have like 3 months till Six Flags Great America opens and we are getting 2 new rollercoasters. What is the first ride you are going to ride for the 2001 season? I personally think I am going to catch a quick ride on row 9 of Raging Bull, then to the Boomerang and then off to the Impulse.

-------------
The Raging Bull #1!!

I was thinking about that today. I want to go to the Bull first but I want to be one of the first of the GP to ride the new roller coasters so that is what I will do instead. I think I will ride Bull last the night and get on ride in in the day. I don't know what new coaster I will sprint to first, probably the Invertigo.

Super Invertigo, over and over all summer long...

Ever be straight up in the air 180' and look straight down? Fun Fun Fun...
Impulse-front-, Boomerang-front, Impulse-back, Boomerang-back, Boomerang-facing somebody, then if time permits RB, B:TR, Iron Wolf, Shockwave, Viper, Demon, Eagle, ect...

Raging Bull will be first, then a few other rides, then Bull the rest of the evening.
I'm heading straight for Spacely's!! Marathon on that the entire day. :)

LOL, ok I'll probably really go to Raging Bull first. Um, then I'll go to the Invertigo because that will be a new experience for me (unless I get on Deja Vu at SFMM in April). Then I'll check to see if the Impulse line is under 3 hrs. ;)

BTW, Rollrcoastr00: There are no seats that "face somebody" on the invertigo, they're not like the original invertigo seats.

Well, I'm heading for the Impulse first. I heard they were extreme. Then DDD (dare). The Raging Bull. From there I go as I feel...

I think my strategy is going to be reversed this year(that way the impulse coaster will be 3rd on the list. Hit Shockwave first because it will be a walk-on. Next hit the first of inverts, Batman:TR, and then experience something I have been waiting for for an entire year. The Impulse coaster hovering over the waterway in Yankee Harbor. After that I will just relax and enjoy the rest of the coasters along with being in a Six Flags park that silences the critics.

I'm going to hit the lockers and lock up my bag lunch. And maybe then check out Hometown Fun Machine.
im sorry but i can't wait for the impulse. that will be my first ride

I'm with you ragingbegal, Super Invertigo (when the line isn't too long)!

Superinvertigo, Bull, Viper, Eagle Red, Batman, then repeat in reverse order - at least that's the plan for opening day.

I can't wait to stand in line...
Whizzer, Eagle Red, Eagle Blue, Shockwave, Viper, Batman, Impulse, SuperInvertigo, Bull

You build it, I'll ride it...eventually
I would start out with The Invertigo first. After waiting over 2 hours to ride Face/Off at PKI. The line on this bad boy will get long quick. After that I will head over to the Impulse. Since the Impulse is on the hidden side of the park I feel more people will rush to the Invertigo and the line will develop quicker.

It does? We must be visiting different SFGAMs.

You all probably are. I have heard very few complaints about sfgam. Personally , it's one of the best parks I've been to . ;)

Anyway, though I likely wont get to SFGAm this year (boo hoo), I would break from my usual Shockwave 1st tradition, and head to Viper, Bull and the S-I. After that, I'd likely go to Batman. I most likely would leave the impluse alone (been there done that!)
lata,

Im gonna go on the Impulse first I heard its gonna be cool
I'm hoping the new coasters will reduce the waits on my 2 favs -- Viper & B:TR. So my plan is Viper - front, Viper - Back, B:TR - couple of times anywhere, then to the new ones.

SFGAm is nice enough. ButI'm afraid I've just never been as impressed with it as many are.

I'll go where the lines are shortest, that's my strategy.

Ok, really
Next year I might just resort to riding RB first as people will be rushing to the new rides. I remember I rode RB in 1999, three weeks after opening and there was already a 2 hour line at 10:20. With the capacity of these two new rides, only half of full RB queue could make the wait just as long. Then again, I'll have my season pass and many oppurtunites to visit again, so the combo might be the best way to go.
First the Impulse, then Batman, then the Invertigo, then RB and Viper. then I'll just follow the circular layout of the park making sure i get one ride on each coaster.

Hopefully the 2 new coasters will take the lines away from the SW Territory so i can get several rides on Raging Bull and Viper IMO the 2 best coasters in the park.
