SFGAm Scheduale

I have been planning to go to SFGAm on the 23rd for awhile, and it appears they decided to change the scheduale. Can anyone shine some light on this? I know its not because of the tragedy, because it was open this weekend. Here's the link. http://navigation.helper.realnames.com/framer/1/0/default.asp?realname=Six+Flags+Great+America&url=http%3A%2F%2Fwww%2Esixflags%2Ecom%2Fgreatamerica%2F&frameid=1&providerid=0&uid=30018446

Please help!

B&M+SFGAm=3 excellent coasters.

This has been the schedule all along.  You must have misread it earlier.  They always have a few weekends off before fright fest.
The park is now closed for the next 2 weekends to accommodate private parties. As Bull fan said, this has been the schedule since they announced the 2001 season agenda.

"The Peoples Elbow" or "The Spinaroonie?. Cant decide which is the most electrifying move in sports entertainment!!! LOL

Then in that case my copy of the park flier has a typo in it, because it lists the next weekend as being open 10-6.

So the park is now closed for the regular season, right???
I guess it is, no more Southwest territory music until April, oh well, still got Fright Fest:)

You're not the only one who was confused, RagingBullGuy.  I remember looking at a schedule earlier in the summer that said they were open this coming weekend.  I just recently checked the website and discovered that they aren't.
The season pass flier mailed in April and the coupon book people with season passes received list Sept. 22 & 23 as being open from 10am-6pm.  The website and recorded information on their info line says they are closed.  The weird thing is there is a coupon for Bring a Friend for 1/2 Price on the 22 & 23.  According to Guest Services, the coupon is only good for next weekend, but the park is closed for a private party.  People with season passes can use the coupon next weekend.  Although, call SFGAm if you were planning to go next weekend for final confirmation.

Edited to reflect confirmation of information.

My daughter BEGGED me to ride the kid coasters(blantant lie)HEHEE..lol.
Looks like SFGrAm is flooded with complaints this season, almost as many as DCA.  With this and DejaVu not opening, I feel bad for their CS reps.  Don't advertise what you can't offer.

Snake Oil Elixir: Exactly what i forgot to mention, i'm going to call them to make sure this is just a typo. Is anyone sure that the reason it's closed is due to a private party?

Here's what SFGAm had to say:  The park is holding a corporate event.  If you have season passes, pre-purchased tickets, or the coupons, you will be allowed in.   You won't be able to walk up to the gate to purchase tickets.

The lady I talked to was very nice, and explained that this event was added after the season pass schedule had been distributed.

So i get this straight and dont waste a 45 minute drive. The park is open this weekend if you are a season pass holder, right???? I am one and was hopeful of my last regular season rides on Raging Bull.

That is what she said to me as well.  It was just a little too strange to repeat.  Bob, you should be able to get in the park, but call ahead to make sure!

Well, if this is the case, than that is good news for season pass holders. They realized they messed up and are willing to let existing ticket and pass holders access to the park this weekend. I might have to make a run this Sunday.

Does anyone think Deja Vu will be open(sunday)? I doubt they'd open it at a private party, but you never know...

You do know that it is a very large company who rented the park out? I've heard it's Com Ed, and they have a lot of employees, so I wouldn't expect walk-ons.
