SFGAm Ride Comments

I was wondering what everyone's comments are on SFGAm's rollercoasters. I read comments from time to time in other posts but never in one post. I think that:
1.iron wolf: very under-rated, and very fun. no head-banging problem for me when I went on it.
2.Batman: fun, and gets you dizzy. over-hyped
3.Shockwave: fun, except for the head-banging problem. Almost a good quality coaster
4.Demon: Short, exciting, not intense, and kind of rough.
5.American Eagle: Bumpy, and lots of airtime. Very fun.
6. Whizzer: Fun, short, not intense, high-maintanence
7. V2: Very exciting. Very Fast. Very intense.
8. Viper: Lots of airtime, very smooth woodie, pretty intense, best woodie in the park
9. Raging Bull: First drop is very intense, after the first drop it is pretty boring. Smooth, but way over-hyped. Not worth waiting an hour for.

V2 can't be compared to any of the rides in SFGAm!The Vertical Drop was amazing! Check out my site: http://6flagsgreatamerica.homestead.com/SFGAhomepage.html
1. Whizzer: One of the last of a dying breed. Still a must ride especially with a significant other.
2. Viper: An in-house design that was a success. Great air and lateral Gs throughout this awesome woody.
3. Raging Bull: Since I cant compare this to any other hyper(because I havent ridden any other) I cant make a judgement on it as opposed to others but I find it fast, fun, and comfortable.

4. Demon: One of the smoother Arrow loopers I have been on. The theming definitely helps.

5. American Eagle: My second woody and I still enjoy it do to its massive size and speed. The brakes have brought the excitement down but it still has some great elements. "RED SIDE ONLY"!

6. Iron Wolf: Small but intense. Since I am tall and took Jeffs advice in Standup coaster riding this original B&M is great.

7. V2: UGHHHH!!! I couldnt ride due to my size. Seat belt just missed latching. As soon as I drop some size in my chest and gut area I will get back to you on it.

8. Batman:TR: The original invert still packs a punch. Disorienting and crazy. Gotta love it.

9. Shockwave: I dont experience the headbanging like others due to my height. I usually sit in back so the ride is tolerable. I like going upside-down so this ride is a plus to me.

10. Spacely Sprocket Rockets: Just to add to the coaster count. (CHING, CHING!)

11. Delay-ja-vu: Cant wait for it to open(whenever that happens)!

As you can see in my post that I always look for good things in any coaster I ride. Unless the coaster kicked my butt, than I dont usually have a problem with it.

""Coaster riding is a disease and SFGAm is the cure!!!!!!!""
All these are my opinion, so please, I know some arguements might start after this.

1. Raging Bull-Best coaster in the park. Great Air-time in Row-9, incredible speed, one of the best first drops, and an awesome figure-8 finaly.

2. V2-2nd Best coaster in park. Very thrilling, fast paced, and the two towers are just awesome. Competes with Raging Bull for best coaster.

3. Batman-An intense coaster, too short, but very fast and incredible G-forces. And well done theming on that ride.

4. Iron Wolf-the most under estimated coaster in the park. The ending is the best part of the whole coaster. Great turns, very fast, and is not rough at all (to me at least)

5. American Eagle-Awesome first drop (especialy in the back) great airtime on almost every hill, trim breaks kill the helix, but a very good coaster.

6. Viper-Fast, PLENTY of airtime, incredible speed through out the whole ride, good head choppers, and one of the best woodies I have ridden.

7. Demon-has a good drop only in the backseat, and other than that, it is a very intense, and boring ride. I only ride when there is NO wait at all. I skip this ride many times when I go.

8. Whizzer-Boring ride for me, but is very fun in the dark. Trees help the ride, but once again, unless no wait, I skip the ride.

9. Shockwave-One of the best coasters in the park, VERY intense, but not while I'm hitting my head. The loops are so small, and the G's are incredible in them. A very good first drop, and the inversions are great. And it's not rough at all!

10. Spacely's Spr--or what ever it is, I don't ride it, it's a kiddie coaster, but only once just for the record. But for a kiddie coaster, it's not bad at all.

These are just my opinions, so please, no one tak any offense of it.

There is no such thing as a stupid question, just stupid people.
My opinion-
(In Height Order)
Spacely Sprocket's Rockets-Thrilling for 5 year olds.
Whizzer-A classic starter coaster for coasterphobes. Nice stomach settler after a meal.
Viper-Awesome. Six Flags scored on this one. Airtime around every turn. Many excellent head choppers.
Demon-An arrow looper. Intense having the double loop. Screws with your head. Corkscrews hurt like a mother. :(
Iron Wolf-Awesomely intense. Great ride for a first looper. Fun and B&M-'nuff said.
Batman-Over-hyped. Too many G's in rapid succession. Make me too lightheaded. Fun yet short.
Eagle-Fun for a classic woodie. Bunny hills are awesome. Helix is a bit rough, but fun nonetheless.
Vertical Velocity-Incredible. Euphoria translated into steel. The launch is intense, as is the ride from start to finish. Worth waiting two hours for.
Raging Bull-Awesome ride. Rolling stock incredible reassuring for having nothing there. Cars feel like easy chairs. Intense from start to finish. Very Fun.
This is what I think(In no specific order):
Raging Bull- GREAT B&M! Provides massive air, back seat is the only way to go. Do I need to say more?
Viper- Underated woddy. Head choppers and airtime galore make this one of my favorite coasters.
Deja Vu- NOT OPEN
Vertical Velocity(V2)- Awesome ride! Great acceleration out of the station and exciting hang-time on the straight spike. A must-ride. Nough said.
Demon- Small, nice arrow looper. Offers a great first drop, followed by some corkscrews and loops. A little bit rough, but I still enjoy it.
Giant Drop(I know its not a coaster, but..)- This is one freaky ride. This is the only ride that still scares me at SFGAm. While short, this ride is a major rush.
Whizzer- A classic, what else is there to say? Best when you ride it when it gets dark. It's also kind of cool that you get your own little car.
Iron Wolf- Okay, so maybe it's not the smoothest ride, but I love it. If you know how to minimize the headbanging(I don't like to give secrets away, ;)), this is a great ride.
American Eagle- You have to love this coaster. AE ejects you out of your seat on every hill. It's great, and the helix is even cooler. Too bad they don't race it that often.
Batman: The Ride- Smooth B&M inverted coaster. Front row is the place to be on this ride. Everything is perfect about this ride. I love it.
Shockwave- One word for this ride: hell( That's the only word I could come up with)
I think that's all, and those are my opinions, so don't get pissed off at me if you disagree.

Don't fight it, Ride it, Raging Bull!

Raging Bull-best airtime ever, especially the 3rd drop, the best coaster ever! Shockwave-fun looper, kind of rough, but still fun. Iron Wolf-underrated, fun, fast. Viper-fast, good guillatine effects, fast. V2-great hang time, freaky, fun. Demon-fun arrow looper, rough corckscrews, sit in the back and you get airtime on the first drop. Whizzer-underrated, nice twists and turns, classic. American Eagle-great airtime, awesome helix, fast. Batman-The first inverted coaster ever, one of the best inverts ever, kinda short though, very fun.
*Whizzer-great headchoppers & banked turns. Not too thrilling but very fun.
*Viper-Airtime filled cyclone style wooden coaster. Very underrated on poles.
*Raging Bull-a backseat coaster. Increadible open feeling with those trains. The first drop has the best air in the park.
*Giant Drop-I don't get why people like this so much. Didn't do anything for me. I'd just as soon go next door and ride RB with a better drop & more to it.
*Demon-Not much to it, but still really fun and smooth. Nice air on the drop.
*Deja Vu-not open :(
*American Eagle-the only ride that still scares me. The drop keeps getting steeper and steeper. Helix is fun even with the breaks.
*Spacely's Sprockets Rockets-never been on it. If I do ride it, it'll be for my track record only.
*V²-I haven't been to the park yet this year :(
*Batman-I hate it when people try to say it's a bad coaster because it's been cloned so many times. The whole reason they cloned it was because it was so good.(and compact) Still my 3rd fav in the park.
*Shockwave-Smooth as glass. great ride, though not as good as it was in 97'.
