SFGAm questions

I am going back to SFGAm for the second time this season and I had a couple of questions about new things going on since opening day.

1) How is the theming/landscaping going underneath S:UF? (ie, have they put the big sign in front up yet?)

2) Has Deja Vu opened or has the train even been put on the track yet?

3) Is the fast-lane system set up on Superman yet?

4) Can you see the on-ride photos from Superman after you get off yet?

There are Superman symbols all over, and a Giant 'S' logo right in front of the queue house. The S:UF flight sign is up. Yes, you can see the on-ride photos from Superman. I don't remember a fast-lane system being up for Superman, at least not this season. As of 5.20.03, Deja Vu is SBNO with no train on the track.
I heard somewhere on this site (you know it must be true then!) that S:UF is not going to be utilizing the Fastlane system during the intital several months. The fastlane lane is setup, however they would like to give everyone a fair chance to ride it at least until the intital hype and resulting high wait times have (at least somewhat) subsided. It made sense to me but who knows if it is factual or not.

Also the onride photo viewing was not operational as of my visit 5/20.

Chia train I just read your post and if on-ride photos are up I must have missed them......

The on ride photos were up when we were there for Coasterbuzz Con 2003.

DelayJa Vu is still dead in the water, as usual.

Looks like there will be a fastlane queue for Superman. Not in use yet.

There is some bushes and other landscaping going in at various places. It should look nicer than parking lot, even though all they did was pile the dirt over the old lot. The old Shockwave bridge is gone. Though the service road is not. In fact just the portion that used to go where the queue lines are now is all that is gone of the service road.

Zero G Thrills - Moved and Improved

I was at SFGAm on its opening day, and I was wondering, is Shockwave still laying, dismantled, on the hill by the employee parking lot? You can see it from SUF and RB (at least on 5-5-03)

Does any one know if they are planting grass under S:UF?

Shockwave was still there as of this past Monday.

It appears as though they will plant grass, as they had already places sod around the sewer drains, but not yet anywhere else.

If you take a ride on Sky Trek Tower, you can see the old Shockwave parts in clear daylight(some riders think it's parts for a new ride). I didn't get a chance to ride S:UF on my 5.20 visit, but on 5.10 the on-ride photos were up. I think Shockwave's old on-ride photo screens are used, right before entering the Heroes store.

I thought the placement of the on-ride photo camera was excellent. Right at the bottom of the pretzel, as you are being squashed into the top of the seat. What an experience!! Wait time today (5.24) was 1 hour at 6:30 P.M. The line was past Condor, but when we got into the queue section, only 1/4 of the queue was filled. The ticket passer outer guy was holding up the line. Mostly because he had to explain to almost everyone that they weren't allowing any carry on items even into the station.

"Welcome to Wisconsin... Illinois' Largest State Park."

Was there on the 24th, pine trees have been added to various places (should look great in ten years), fastlane is still not up. The monument is still living up to its name, and the big S is out front and the signs explaining Superman's powers (in Georgia these are on the back of that gigantic wall) have been added to Shockwave's old queue house.

Side note, Im not much of a Six Flags Great America fan but the ride ops on S:UF, Batman, Raging Bull and Viper were top notch on this trip, no stacking it was wonderful.

Is there a 3rd S:UF train anywhere?...I forgot to look in the transfer building when I was there this weekend.

And really, what the heck is up with Deja Vu?...I thought the other two had their problems worked out and were running fine...(Sarcasm on) Oh that's right, I'm sure that it was too warm this weekend to run. (Sarcasm off)

I believe that Superman is only supposed to have two trains.
