sfgam Power Dive

Why has it been shut down?
GP didn't ride the ride too much, hard to get replacement parts not to mention expensive, and it was a mechanics nightmare!

Six Flags-Its everywhere you want to be

Hmm, hinkey!

1: Only Once in all the times I've been in the park have I seen the ride with less than a posted 45 minute wait time. That one time was on a chilly Sunday in August 2000. It was not long after opening and we only had a one cycle wait. That marks the only time I rode it. (For comparison, I was at the park the preceeding Saturday and it had 45-60 min posted waits all day.

2: With so many others still running (PKD, BGT, SFGAdv, etc) I'm suprised about the parts.

3: Well I'm no mechanic....

--again HINKY!

I have seen it with long waits, but i have never waited more than 5 minutes, it is one of the few rides where you can have lots of laughs before the ride starts (when the lap bars close, and the people start screaming, and gasping ;)), somewhat sadly, i found it to be the scariest ride there, from the fact of how slow it went upside down, and the fear of your chest getting crushed from the VERY HEAVY harnesses :), man i miss that ride, we lost some of our coolest flat rides in 2000, but with Fiddler's Fling, East River Clawer, Condor, and Orbit, i won't miss it too badly, but it did offer some great laughs
