SFGAM Media Day 2002

Does anyone have any info on SFGAM media days for 2002? We were given postcards at nocoastercon to put us on the list. Also, has anyone seen any activity at SFGAM yet this year? I have not seen anything operating yet and it opens in 2 weeks!
What would they have media day for this year? No new attractions have been added. They have been testing the rides.

Im going to grab a cold one! WHAT? Walk to my computer! WHAT? Turn the thing on! WHAT? Log on to Coasterbuzz! WHAT? I said log on to Coasterbuzz!! WHAT?WHAT?WHAT?

Because the Eagle is backwards and it is the 10th anniversary for Batman!

True, but I dont think they will have media day for it. I could be wrong though. They have done the Eagle backwards before and they dont seem to celebrate anniversaries for coasters.

Chitown -- Everyone who was at No Coaster Con got a card to send in for their media day...they are having one (as hilarious as it sounds) this year.

"I have a flashlight, enjoy the show!"

Just because you got a card doesn't mean they have to have media day im sure that was just if they possibly decided to have one for something. I doubt they are going to have one this year.

My Top 5 Coasters:
1. Raging Bull(SFGAm) 2.Millenium Force(CP) 3. Deja Vu(SFGAm) 4.V2(SFGAm) 5.Cornball Express(IB)A HREF=http://coasterworld.cjb.netCOASTERWORLD/***

Actually, as of yesterday, 4/13, I was at the park for Season Pass Processing. I heard Batman run a couple test runs, although did not see anything. Giant Drop was testing, and the Raging Bull trains were in the brake run. The carousel was being refinished, and the horses were wrapped in plastic. The reflection pond in front was drained, and they were patching up cracks and things on the bottom. Shockwave's red train was visible from the parking lot, and it too was on the brakes. There were two technicians walking Whizzer's lift, seeming to examine the lifting components. Demon tested once, but stopped on the lift hill for a couple minutes. Perhaps they were testing E-Stops? I don't know. Eagle ran several test runs, but I only saw two trains navigate the helix. Hopefully I'll be able to get pix up today, but it's geocities, so the site will likely die after about an hour.

Welcome to Six Flags Great America, home of the fastlane and delay-ja vu! We have now officially been deemed the world-wide wait!

Was anything freshly painted? Iron Wolf, Batman, and Shockwave all could use fresh paint.
Demon really needs a new coat of paint, it is turning red again from Turn of the Century. I didn't know they let you in the park to get your season pass processed when the park wasn't open. Well, I guess I learned something new today. They don't need a media day for the 2002 season, but I guess they could do something for Deja Vu, considering it is sorta a 2002 coaster because it just opened during the end of the season last year.

I was there too! Man, it was torture .. We saw Shockwave run all three trains through, several times. Viper was running, as were V2, Deja Vu, Demon and Bull.

TWO WEEKS TO GO!!

CPFan, that red isn't TotC, it's Demon. TotC was all white, supports, track, ties, all. The red is either the color the rails used to be (like PGA's, that has red rails) or it's just primer showing though. If you ask me, no coaster there needs no paint, defenitally not Batman. The little bit of rust on it makes it fit the theme even better, and it's not like it makes it rough.

Less than 2 months until SFGAm opens!

Columbia Carousel is getting a new paint job. Brighter gold and red, white and blue trim.

Everything ran this past weekend with the exception of Whizzer, Orbit, River Rocker and obvoisly Power Dive.

Deja Vu ran most of Sunday and its looks really good. V2 is fixed also.

Your village called. They're missing their idiot.

I was at the McDonalds in front of the park and they were testing Deja-Vu. From the looks of it , it was running pretty good. Of course having temperatures in the low 70s today helped its cause.
