What a wonderful invention Physics Day is! A near empty park for most of the day resulted in excellent riding.
My first coaster of the new season was Batman: the Ride. Still a near perfect coaster.
Next, headed toward Iron Wolf. The old girl was running so nicely that I felt I would be thrown out of my seat (that's a good thing :)). After my ride, I remembered why I loved Iron Wolf so much the first time I rode it.
Next, rode Raging Bull for two times, first in front, then in back. Even though MF is my top coaster, RB is not far behind at all. It continues to be great.
After RB, I rode Viper. Sadly, I did not get as much air as I have in past years. :( I hope Viper is not starting to decline.
Two trips on Shockwave, which was above average for itself, a good ride.
Next, stopped by Batman for one more and RB for one more. Both were great.
Vertical Velocity was testing all day, I hope it begins to operate soon. I still can't believe how they get the two spikes to not sway back and forth all over the place. V2 looks great!
But Deja Vu looks much better! I can't wait until it's finished. The only track not up yet was the second vertical spike. Seeing the new coasters in progress has really gotten me excited.
I was only unable to ride Demon, Whizzer, and American Eagle, but I am sure to ride them many times before the year ends.
Overall, an excellent day!

P.S. I noticed too late that the title is incorrect. Physics day was May 8, 2001, not May 3
Sorry.

When I went to GAm on Sunday, I had killer air on Viper in the last row...

What's physics day? I seem to recall seeing it listed on some park's calendar early in the season (SF park, more than one park? I can't remember now) but I thought it was almost as if the park is shut down for the day. Something to do with educational field trip or something?

Mother, did it need to be so high?
Here you can read about it.
