Everytime I pick up my daughter I pass by SFGAm. I knew the B96 shindig was going on so I decided to pull into the entrance from Washington street. I stopped in front of American Eagle and watched it cycle about 5 times. They were running the red side only (which is the better side) and noticed that the brakes barely slowed the coaster down on the barrel helix. The only brakes that actually slowed the train to a crawl was in the final helix before the station. I really hope they keep it this way because that is what made AE a must ride back in the 80s. Fast and furious. Almost all of the trains were filled with people with their arms straight in the air enjoying themselves. Hopefully the blue side wasnt running for the possibility of running it backwards for its 20th anniversary. We can only hope. Cant wait for opening day. Later,,,,,,,,

Just out of curiosity, I'm wondering if you think its less exciting if you can see the park every day. I love the feeling of just driving on the highway and then BOOM!, you see the American Eagle traveling north, followed shortly by Bull. This excitement would be diminished if I got to see the park 3-4 times per week.
I love the John Madden quote:
and then BOOM!
Cracks me up.
I love seeing the park. It's the greatest thing in the area. It amazes me everytime.

well v2 looks awsome i had no idea how massive this coaster is. the pictures of SUE just dont do it justice. it loomes over yankee harbor so nice cant wait to see it in action. and i cant belive that DejaVu is not done yet they seem so far behind they need to finish the loop and the 2nd vertical tower but i think that will be finished by this weekend. they were working on it till almost 8 on friday night so i can say they are working hard. well hope to see some of you there on saturday

The Blue side will not be running backwards this year. The reason you have not seen the blue side going is that it only has one train on the track right now.

Last time it ran backwards was for the 15th anniversary. It was only for like a month and I think it was June.

I think it would be really cool if I ever got to ride the AE backwards. I have never seen it do that. I bet it is really fun and exciting!

they really need to run it backwards this could stir up an extra intrest in this ride and spread out crowds between rides. i also think the demon will have an incresed line this season because of the way its set up next to dejaVu

I can't wait to make my third visit to your homepark either Chitown. I want to wait until V2 and Deja Vu are built though. I'm always glad to go to a park that doesn't have any seriously bad coasters with most of them being excellent, other rides included. I'm glad the new coasters are coming especially meaning(hopefully) shorter RB and BTR lines. Yea!

Ya, AE definitely needs to be run backwards this year. It is the 20th anniversary this year, it'd be a proper tribute!

Unfortunately I am the only one in my family that likes SFGAm besides my sister, I'll try to get there on Saturday with her.
