SFGAm-I don't think Shockwave will be removed

Hey guys what up? I was just thinking about ShockWaves future, and I do not think it will be removed for several reasons. I have talked to over 8 employes ( and no, not the lemon chill guys either (-; ) And have talked to several ppl at guest relations and they all said the same thing, ShockWave is down for repairs after a small acident, it will open up as soon as they feel it is safe and the trains are fixed. Now don't let my user name fool u, I'm not making this stuff up because I love ShockWave. What do all u guys think will happen.

Oh thank god. Of course with all of the surveyors, rumors of the chain being removed, I can't help but think the awful thought that they're lieing to you.

P.S. Please! Y-O-U not u

I personally think the surveyor hype is because they're gonna build something in and around Shockwave's footprint.

It was cool when it 1st opened up, but now all it is, is a headache inducer. If they take it out cool, but if they leave it in, it'll be good for one ride and one ride only per trip... if that.

Oh PLEASE can we discuss this again? I don't think enough bandwidth has been wasted yet.

LOL, Mark, you're right. What the hell am I doing? The employees don't know what is going to happen with this nasty ride either..lol. Shockwaveman, are you sure maybe you didn't talk to the Dippin' dots lady? Or maybe the cottoncandy vendor? I too think talking about Shock (cough, cough, headache) Wave is a waste of time.

Usually, when the lift chain is clearly not there, it means something is up. A real coaster's lift chain is not like the one on your Screamin' Serpent that goes in in 5 minutes. A real coaster's chain needs to be put on with a crane and takes a whole day. I don't see how a problem with one of the train's wheel assemblies would involve the lift chain. I think the Shock Wave accident is the real reason Whizzer is saved and why I think Shock Wave will go.

The lift chain is clearly there, where are you looking? But to stick to the topic I do not think Shockwave will be removed, I think it is just down for maintence and will either open up later in the season or open at the begining of next season depending on how bad the problem with the ride is.

It's CLEARLY NOT there. If you look at the top of the lift hill where the chain is supposed to go over the gear, IT'S NOT THERE.

Take a picture PLEASE so this deja vu kid will shut up?!

Sorry, that's the one thing I can't do-- no camera! Maybe I can find a way, but I doubt it.

But hey, my word is truth, so why would anybody have a problem with that? ;)

So tell me what's in this picture that is not there now (besides the red train)? You can't even see a chain coming down from the top of the lift, just the housing for it, which is still there

Don't start another Shockwave Chain argument again. Just go look for yourself. Unless the park has confirmed it's going, don't believe the park people, they aren't the ones making the decision.
The chain is on, I was just there yesterday and the thing was there.

First off, you've been the first person to defend Shockwave in all of its, shall I say, horrid self. (There, I said it...)

I have a camera, I'll drive up there tomorrow, I'll take some photos of the ride. Fact is, there is a lot of mystery surrounding the coaster, and I'm not sure that anyone but the highest of the high ranking officials are sure of what's actually going on, and Tim O'Brien has never, EVER been one to steer anyone down the wrong path. Remember, amusementbusiness.com isn't screamscape...

Yep... It is PICTURES now... http://www.loopscrew.com

as long as we get a new coaster, i don't care what they hell they're doing to shockwave...

We don't need more than one thread on the same topic...
