SFGAm Graveyard

One of my favorite things to do is ride on the right side of Iron Wolf so I can get a look at the "graveyard" at SFGAm's employee parking lot. I noticed that the cages from Sky Whirl are still in the employee parking lot. Anybody have any idea why?

I also noticed Power Dive was still sitting there. Anything else there I'm not seeing?

(Yes I am kinda bored, thanks)

Shockwave is scattered all around that area.

Shockwave is piled like cord wood out on the hillside, sad, very sad. If they are gonna "taer" out a coaster it shoudl have been that B&M piece of crap. But thats for another topic ;)

Where exactly did you see Power Dive? And are you thinking of the old site (which still remains) or the "spaceship thing" (is it still there?)?

Magnum Force, even though Iron Wolf may be a "piece of crap," :-) it still is pretty popular compared to Shockwave.

Iron Wolf is the second-best stand-up behind Riddler's. I'll take Wolf over Mantis anyday. But again, that's another topic. ;0

Iron Wolf: Front row using Jeff's standup method= A GOOD RIDE.

Done it Scott, still horrendous. I have to ride IW twice everytime I go. Once because "It can't be that bad" and twice to reaffirm that it really is "that bad"

But come on it's another topic, you are a moderator man, don't do this ;)

And you aren't to blame for the shift in this topic? ;)

But anyway, back on topic. My opinion is they are holding onto the cages from Sky Whirl because these cages possibly can be used on all Intamin wheels including the 2-arm.

My daughter always calls those cages the "Tweety-bird" cages. She also was hoping they would take those and put them somewhere in the park with Tweetys in them. :)

That spaceship is currently resideing in SFSTL graveyard. It arrived durning the winter it was taking out of SFGAM. That makes two rides that do the same trick sittign in are grave yard. Its quite sad really.

Well if it is sitting in SFSTl's graveyard, maybe they are considering re-constructing it there in the future. Who knows though.

Hmm, I know I saw the spaceship thing from Power Dive sitting there this year.

Shockwave isn't in the Graveyard, per se... ;)

Well Greasedd Lightnin is at SFMW and it wont be installed there. So maybe its goin to another park near SFSTl.

Where do you get your info. from? Power Dive is Still at SFGAm. Me and my friend snuck into the employee parking lot a few days ago and saw the entire thing sitting there including the ride sign! There were also few animal cages back there with original Marriotts Great America logos on them. I have no idea what these were used for, but they looked like they had been back there for a long time. Oh you will also be happy to know that the coaster dude track was sitting behind the Power dive pieces. :)
