SFGam Flyer

If they took out everthing between Power Dive and Cajiun Cliffhanger they could fit a compact B&M Flyer there. That would really add to New Orleans Place. What do you think?
How do you know what a compact B&M flyer looks like? Besides, that "statement" was pretty vauge. I mean, it could be anything. Saying that it's a B&M flyer is picking a 100 dollar bill out of a bag of 100 other 1 dollar bills.

Theres that restraunt there though, I don't think they will take that one down. That area of the park is lacking, unless you enjoy shockwave : (

As I have been saying (this will be the one to quote me on come 2003), a B&M Flyer will make it to either SFGAm or SFGAdv next year.

And I am willing to bet that any future Six Flags flyers will be clones of SUF... I'd say that layout will be the Batman of this decade.

There is no room in that park for another coaster. Tearing out two small flat rides are not going to give you room for a multi million dollar coaster. I think that Great America after getting two coasters last year, wont see another new coaster for some time to come. Especially with the economy the way it is and the lack of room. Six Flag's money would be well spent in balancing the park better and adding some more quality flat rides throughout the park.

I look for SFGAM to add another ride next season - either a coaster or some sort of a flat/mid-major ride. A flyer would be nice, but its all about realestate. I think that a flyer in place of the Yankee Clipper would be sweet but I don't think that will happen.

Look for a ferris wheel and new flat for 2003 and the flyer is coming in 04'...........you heard it here first!

Is there anywhere they can expand? They really need to.

Why?

If the shoe fits, find another one.

Yes they own land across the tollway, I don't think SFGAm has a space issue at all there are plenty of things they could do to expand. Also a Ferris Wheel and a Flat Ride were the big rumors to happen this year and I think they are exactly that rumors. I think we will see a Flyer at Great America for 2003.

Can they bridge the freeway or go under the freeway to link that land to the existing park? If they could, they could just move the parking lot there and use all that space for additional park. The one bad thing about this is ruining one of the best park entrances I have ever seen because they would have to move the entrances closer to the freeway.

Also, could that be the land they were going to use for their waterpark?

They probably couldn't fit a B&M flyer in the space between Power Dive and Cajun Cliffhanger, but they might be able to fit the Zamperla flyer in there. They could fit a B&M flyer in Whizzer's space, but I hope they don't do that. I would rather have Whizzer than a B&M flyer.

Bring in CCI to weave a nice out-and-back airtime machine inside the Shockwave structure. There is plenty of room (and parking lot) out there.

Or, after seeing how B&M shoe-horned a flyer on top of Nemisis, that might work in Shockwave too.

Bottom line though is there never will be another big coaster on that side of the park - the local residents don't like the noise.

I HATE SNOW!!! I am boycotting snow, I refuse to have fun in it.

yeah SFGam could very well get this.... Flyers will be popular with the more popular Six Flags parks I think.
SFGA2001 sounds the most likely. Schwarzkopf out, B&M in. If you've seen a layout of S:UF, it has a footprint that would fit on Whizzer's site. Too bad if they do replace Whizzer with a S:UF clone that it will be SFGAm's 2nd Schwarzkopf to leave because of a B&M.

I really don't think that The Whizzer is going to die very soon. There will probably be a very outward & public outcry to save the thing, and Six Flags knows that it is a great kiddy coaster. Why would they remove a ride that they had committed Fastlane to? I don't think they have any plans to move it, and if they want to put a new ride in there, it will go somewhere else. I honestly think that they'd remove Shockwave before anything, as Shockwave does have some great (yet ugly) real estate. It seems as though Six Flags jumped at the oppertunity to put Medusa (SFMW) and X-Flight (SFWoA) in a former parking lot area. X-Flight is actually quite striking, as they planted shrubbery under the thing, instead of leaving the parking dividers.

What would be a great idea would be to move the parking lot behind Viper and the Go Kart track to the other side of the freeway (though they could get rid of it altogether, as I've never seen the thing full) and put another parking lot coaster in behind Viper.

I'm looking at the park map right now and I think that a flyer could fin in the Power Dive/Cajun Cliffhanger area. imagine a lift over the railroad house then diving below the steps up to the house, crossing the midway towards Roaring Rapids, then crossing the railroad and headed back toward the railroad hose, a helix over the shops behind the Carousel then back to the station near Power Dive.

anyway, that's just my fantasy. a Ferris wheel would please much more than a flyer. good job with the park, GA...and lets try to have an incident free season. you know, one without toe choppers, kidnappings, deaths due to asthma attacks, etc.

Well who was it on this forum that had a great theory: The only reason the S:UE was cloned at SFGAM but the name changed to V2. Why? To save the Superman name for a flyer. It makes a whole lot of sense. Also, I do think we will see a coaster as soon as next year and as late at the year after. No, I don't serve dippin dots, it just seems they have been doing alot for SFGam, and they are going to continue. Its a top notch park, no one can deny that.
Not dippin dots. You serve Lemon Chills. ;)
