Theres that restraunt there though, I don't think they will take that one down. That area of the park is lacking, unless you enjoy shockwave : (
As I have been saying (this will be the one to quote me on come 2003), a B&M Flyer will make it to either SFGAm or SFGAdv next year.
And I am willing to bet that any future Six Flags flyers will be clones of SUF... I'd say that layout will be the Batman of this decade.

Why?

Can they bridge the freeway or go under the freeway to link that land to the existing park? If they could, they could just move the parking lot there and use all that space for additional park. The one bad thing about this is ruining one of the best park entrances I have ever seen because they would have to move the entrances closer to the freeway.
Also, could that be the land they were going to use for their waterpark?

They probably couldn't fit a B&M flyer in the space between Power Dive and Cajun Cliffhanger, but they might be able to fit the Zamperla flyer in there. They could fit a B&M flyer in Whizzer's space, but I hope they don't do that. I would rather have Whizzer than a B&M flyer.
Bring in CCI to weave a nice out-and-back airtime machine inside the Shockwave structure. There is plenty of room (and parking lot) out there.
Or, after seeing how B&M shoe-horned a flyer on top of Nemisis, that might work in Shockwave too.
Bottom line though is there never will be another big coaster on that side of the park - the local residents don't like the noise.

I really don't think that The Whizzer is going to die very soon. There will probably be a very outward & public outcry to save the thing, and Six Flags knows that it is a great kiddy coaster. Why would they remove a ride that they had committed Fastlane to? I don't think they have any plans to move it, and if they want to put a new ride in there, it will go somewhere else. I honestly think that they'd remove Shockwave before anything, as Shockwave does have some great (yet ugly) real estate. It seems as though Six Flags jumped at the oppertunity to put Medusa (SFMW) and X-Flight (SFWoA) in a former parking lot area. X-Flight is actually quite striking, as they planted shrubbery under the thing, instead of leaving the parking dividers.
What would be a great idea would be to move the parking lot behind Viper and the Go Kart track to the other side of the freeway (though they could get rid of it altogether, as I've never seen the thing full) and put another parking lot coaster in behind Viper.

I'm looking at the park map right now and I think that a flyer could fin in the Power Dive/Cajun Cliffhanger area. imagine a lift over the railroad house then diving below the steps up to the house, crossing the midway towards Roaring Rapids, then crossing the railroad and headed back toward the railroad hose, a helix over the shops behind the Carousel then back to the station near Power Dive.
anyway, that's just my fantasy. a Ferris wheel would please much more than a flyer. good job with the park, GA...and lets try to have an incident free season. you know, one without toe choppers, kidnappings, deaths due to asthma attacks, etc.
