SFGAm Deja Vu update

I was at SFGAm today (the last day of the normal operating season). As we already know, Deja Vu IS testing. Other people have correctly noted that it is going slowly through the cobra roll on the backwards trip. It blazes through everything on the forward trip. It is going to be a great ride !

They ARE building a structure for the catwalk below the cobra roll (just like SFOG's Deja Vu). I spoke with several employees, ALL of them said that it should be open for fright fest. Assuming there are no major problems, I think we can all count on it. Also, I briefly spoke with a friend who works at the park (and has for several years, so I consider his information accurate) - he confirmed that it is indeed supposed to be open for Fright Fest, but more interestingly he said that one of the problems it is having is a "power problem". He said Deja Vu's operation was causing computer problems with The Demon, because Deja Vu sucks so much power. They are apparently running on the same grid or something. Interesting. He says they are working on fixing it. I also heard from the Viper Crew, that many of the Raging Bull crew will be moved to Deja Vu. This is great, as the RB crew is probably the best crew in the park.

That's it for now, and probably all the information we will know until the park reopens for Fright Fest.

SFMM's Déjà Vu does not have a catwalk installed beneath the 'Butterfly Turn' (Cobra Roll) element. Only the one down in SFoG has one in place, and now SFGAm will have one installed on theirs. The reason is because SFMM's 196 FT G.I.B. is NOT in the risk of stalling (due to lack of momentum and speed), while the 177 FT SFoG, and 178 FT SFGAm models have been observed to be subceptible to a roll-back or stalling in the 110 FT turn during testing.

All three Deja Vu's drop 178ft. The reason MM's is 196ft tall is because it is on different terrain. The MM one can't drop 196ft. All three go 65mph. If they go the same speed, they must all have the same drop height.

does anyone have a set date?  I'm three hours away at school in MI, but I'm going to come back for Fright Fest.  I want to go when Deja Vu is open so if anyone has any dates or if you know its going to be open for all of FF, I'd appreciate the info.

I heard from reliable people that it should be open for family day, but it may not open to the public this year. Again those are maybes. He said they were testing it this weekend and it was having trouble catching the cable lifts for each tower along with the other things pointed out.

So that could be why The Demon was down most of Sunday.  Does anyone know why Raging Bull didn't open until 11am on Sunday?

That would make sense about Demon. I don't know about RB, as I didn't arrive at the park until 2pm.

I was thinking, Could it be going slower through the cobra loop because of the weather?  I know metal expands depending on the weather but could this be the reason why SFOG and SFGAm are going slower?  I have no clue if this would effect it or not. What do you guys think?
