SFGAm Coasters

Does SFGAm plan to open two new coasters on the very first operating day of 2001? Or do you think it will take longer than that? Either way they are both going to be awsome!

Six Flags Great America #1 Park!!!
They will have both running by opening day!! And they better since I am making plans to be there on opening day to ride the two awesome rollercoasters and of course the ride I miss the most Raging Bull the best rollercoaster in the WORLD!!
The size of these coasters would indicate that they should have no problem having them ready for opening day in April 2001. Its all good and we are ready for 11 coasters at the best park in the midwest to open(not including CP). Can I get a OH HELL YEAH??????????

Yep, construction is already underway, and except for the fact that the invertigo is larger than the previous ones, these rides are nothing different then what the company has delt with installing before, so most bugs should have been worked out my now, if any.

Oh, HECK YEAH!!!! 8-)
Chitown - "OH HELL YEAH!!!!!!!"

I called the info line yesterday and they said the park will re-open in May. I know last year it opened in April. If you go to six flags websites the dates aren't posted for Great America but they are for other parks. I don't understand why they don't do a better job of marketing.
I'm hoping they update the site, and tell the new rides names and themes, but the site says. "See you in 2001 for twice the fun (hint hint). Bookmark us for announcments about 2001 attractions"

That sucks that SFMM's Invertigo will be almost 200 feet dissed again.

SFMM is getting a boomerang, not an invertigo.

It says "suspended" and "ski lift like" seats. So I am assuming that it is an Invertigo.
Will SFGAm Super Invetigo have vertical spikes?

SFMM and SFGAM are getting the exact same ride in 2001. Both of the Invertigo's will be the Super Invertigo model. SFMM's version will be taller than the SFGAM's. Both should be similar in design.

I sure hope so, because even if it was a little smaller, the ride would be a GREAT addition to park and put SFGAm up there.

Millennium Force all the way!
Wow two Shuttle inverted coasters each with vertical spikes,k built in the same year, these rides are going to seem very similar to the GP.

I doubt the gp would really care if their similar. Most non-coaster maniacs I talk to could care less if there are two wooden coasters and 10 steel coasters opened in the same park, (even if they are similar in design) They'd still ride the ones they think they could stomach.

You build it, I'll ride it
I'd think that this one would probably have vertical spikes because it'd take up less room. PGA's Invertigo fits in pretty nicely, and that's what? 138 ft.? Ours will probably need to have vertical spikes to fit in without taking out the children's rides in Hometown Square. Besides wouldn't Vekoma stick with the same design for all of their Super Invertigos?
Will the Vertical Spikes be possible with the cable lift? I was just wondering. I know were going to have Vertical Spikes,I was just wondering if its possible. It won't be launched since S:UE will be there next year. With both of our coasters next year we sould be having a great time. I hope. Well until next time. Bye.
