SFGAm, CBCon03, May 17th

As others have mentioned, the Ride Ops on Superman were great! That first hour was pretty much free-for-All when it came to seating, but they just let us have fun, knowing that we'd follow the important rules.

I'm pretty sure I'm the unknown guy StealthNet was hanging with (I had a hard time remembering screen names too). After the picnic, we ended up getting Fast Passes and skipping the lines for Iron Wolf, Batman, V2, and Raging Bull.

Batman was riding really smooth and fast Saturday. I've never liked that coaster before, It just always rubbed me the wrong way. But everything clicked in just right. The only problem was the teeny-bopper girls that thought they had the right to smoke inside the tunnels.

And what a better way to end the day, than 4 consecutive rides in the back car of Viper, including the last train of the night.

All in all, an awesome time. Thanks for putting it together Jeff, too bad you couldn't be there.

Skunky

StealthNet and Skunky, I was mystery rider #3.:)

Hat's off to Jeff and his wife, and to SFGAm for doing a fantastic job with the event. It was a great day.

The only question is what was the mystery substance on the ice cream?;)

I was also (un)lucky enough to be stuck on S:UF for that breakdown. I have NO idea who I was talking to, but we started the train on the topic of the seatbacks looking like "big blue arses" when you look up at them. I don't know who was behind me - but someone commented on my shoes and their "blue dot" in the middle of them.

So, whoever you are - it was nice meeting you by way hanging in that thing for what seemed like oh-so long.

Of course, it was good to see all my other friends and of course, Joe's Crab Shack after the park closed with a few fellow posters was a good time, as always.

Nice meeting all of you that I didn't already know.

When chocolate melts and refreezes, not all "parts " of the chocolate get back in. I'm guessing what was coating your ice cream bar was some of the liquid parts of the chocolate mixture that did not freeze back in. Then again, maybe it was glue from the wrapper. ;)

LOL. My daughter went up and grabbed one of those ice cream bars. As she was peeling the wrapper, it stuck to the bar and then you could see what looked like a gel substance. Maybe it had to do with being a low-fat ice cream bar. :)

Sorry Kick The Sky. I just assumed that was your wife. My bad. :)

NoLimitChic(Sarah) had the same thing happen with her ice cream bar with the gel substance. Ewwwwww...

I really don't know where the park gets all of it's ice cream but it is all disgusting. If you get the funnel cake sundaes, they have the same gritty ice milk that was in those ice cream bars. Maybe I am just spoiled with all of the yummy frozen custard we have north of the Illinois-Wisconsin border.

MMMMMM......... Frozen custard from Wisconsin.

If I leved in Wisconsin I would be twenty pounds heavier just because of the awesome custard they have. Luckily I'm shielded from it here in IL.

Actually Kick the Sky, those were "Blue Bunny" ice cream bars which are pretty popular around here. As mentioned above, they must have started melting at some point before they served them.

Yea, I knew it was the melting and refreezing thing. Arrow Guy had a popcicle that didn't have a stick to hold cuz it melted and froze over it.:)

Were any of the test chairs out yesterday? On May 3rd I noticed that none of them were there? Last year there were test chairs for V2, B:TR, RB, etc..

I also had a great time at CBCon03. Even the extra "hang time" at the end of ERT wasn't too bad; being stuck on a train with a group of good natured fellow enthusiasts and getting the complete flying coaster experience :)

I too had the misfortune of getting one of the ooey-gooey-chewies before they got to the good stuff.

Congratulations and thanks to Jeff and Stephanie for putting together a terrific event.

Well, I just got back from a second day at SFGAm and a 9 hour drive back home to Akron Ohio. It was a long drive but well worth the time. This was my first trip to SFGAm and my first CoasterBuzzCon but, hopefully not my last. I would really like to thank Jeff and Stephanie for such a great time.
I too want to thank Jeff and Stephanie (even though she DID follow me around for awhile :) ) In case you dont remember who I am Stephanie I'm the one you almost got to ride V2 with. :) I had a great time none the less at that park! It was awsome. Nothing like I expected. The people (including other Buzzers) were super friendly. I hope to someday make it back up there! (oh by the way I Love Spacely's Sprocket Rockets!!!)
