SFGAM area question

My dad and I are going to SFGAM in October for the first time. My mom however is fweeling leftout because we go on a bunch of trips without her, becasue she's terrified of rollercoasters. So... I'm wondering if their is anything to do in the area around SFGAM like large malls or something like that. Any information would be much appreciated

She could stop at Gurnee Mills, but I'd advise heading 20 min north to the Mars Cheese Castle.

Drop it like it's hot and be my bloody wonderwall, baby

Check out www.gurneemills.com. It is 1 mile West of SFGAm and should keep your mother busy all day. It is an enclosed outlet mall with about 200 shops and 15 anchor stores.

Laugh your troubles away at Riverview, the world's largest amusement park.

There is alot of things to do in Kenosha which is 20 min. away from the park. Theres an Outlet Mall, Congo River Mini Golf, a place with batting cages, mini golf, and go-karts, and theres my favorite Mar's Cheese Castle :)

Gurnee Mills is a GREAT solution. It's very large and they get a lot of tourist busses there constantly. If that's not her swing, she can always travel the 30-40 minutes into Schaumburg and hit Woodfield Shopping Center. Make sure she knows it's INSANELY busy but well worth the visit. ^_^ Dairyland Greyhound park is not far off either, if she likes races. It's a great place to go on weekends.

I hate shopping but I love gurnee mills. And also downtown Chicago is 45 minutes away. And there is so much to do there.
