SFGAm 7/10-7/11, or 30% Chance of Rain, My Ass!

Associated parks:
None

We left for SFGAm on Thursday at 2:30 pm and got there around 4:30. We'd gotten really cheap tickets ($25) so we bought our MVP right away for Friday. Rode Raging Bull first with a short line, then headed for V2 (still the best ride I've ever been on!). We went back to the Eagle and rode red, then rode the River Rocker and Ricochet. At about 8:00 things got pretty slow in the park so we headed for Superman. We'd gotten about 15 min from the station when all of a sudden, the clouds opened up and it started to POUR. It had also gotten quite chilly, so rather than risk catching a cold, we bolted for the car.

Had an uneventful night at the Days Inn in Libertyville...we got a six-pack and a pizza and got to bed early. Dramamine knocked me out cold!

Friday morning, we got up really early (the Dramamine made me really groggy and it was hard to get going) and headed to the park at about 8:45. We managed to get right over to Superman and when they opened up the ride, we got onto the second train! It was a great ride, but not so great that I wanted to wait through the now-90-minute wait that had piled up while we were riding.

Rushed over to Fastlane and bought 4, 2 for each of us. It was already really busy in the park so I'm glad we bought 'em. Instead of standing in lines all day...we RODE, baby!

Highlights: I braved the Giant Drop once again, rode V2 in the back seat, rode RB in both the front and back seats, rode AE backwards, and got stuck in the station when Batman closed for 30 minutes due to (you guessed it) rain.

About 8 pm, the sky once again grew dark. We were pretty pooped after two days so we just split, rather than waiting to see if anything would run again before 10.

And the best part of the trip? We got White Castle on the way home!!! YAY White Castle!!!

When you got off Superman the line was not 90 min. At about 10:25 the que was 1/3 of the way full (according to the guy handing out boarding passes) and it took us about 45 min. Not 90. It would have to be completely full for that.

Maybe Deja Vu would be on this list if it would open!
