SFGAm 6/26/03 Eagle's 3rd train spotted

Associated parks:
None

I didn't get to the park until 1:00 because I'm taking summer school. :( The park was very crowded today. Even Demon had a 20 minute wait most of the day.

I went on every coaster except Deja Vu, Whizzer, and V2.

Raging Bull- 1x Ride=10, Operation=4. The ride was great. The train wasn't trimmed at the mid-course or the figure 8 at the end. They were still only running 2 trains. 1 hour wait

Viper 1x Ride=10, Operation=10 Ride was running great and they had a ride op controlling the station. 30 minute wait

American Eagle Backwards 2x Ride=10, Operation=10 They were racing almost every train. I saw the 3rd blue train on the transfer track. It has the wings on one side. It doesn't have a white stripe. It will be interesting to see why it's there. 20 minute wait, walkon second time

Demon 3x Ride=10, Op=10 Rode back row all three times. 20 minute wait, walk-on, 15 minute wait.

Batman 1x Ride=10, Op=10 Rode back row. The old music is back. Last week, they had some new stuff that was crap. 20 minute wait

Iron Wolf 1x Ride=9, Op=10 Rode 2nd row. Seemed rougher than usual. 30 minute wait

Superman 4x Ride=10, Op=8 Superman had one of the slower crews today. Rode 2nd row all but once. Rode 5th row the 3rd time so I could get in line again before closing. I made it to 40 today. 80 minute wait. 70 minute wait, 35 minute wait, 40 minute wait

No progress on Deja Vu. Trailblazer is still closed. It isn't on an angle anymore. There was a small crane by it.

Overall, it was a good day though 2 train op on Raging Bull is really getting on my nerves.

I agree with you on Raging Bull only running two trains. I assumed it was a mechanical thing with the teal train (since all accounts said that was the one not running at all) but this weekend they were running all three, so clearly that's not it. It's probably just a staffing matter.

Trailblazer was open for awhile on Sunday as well, so I don't know what the issue is there.

If Eagle starts running 3 trains again on each side, I will be so happy!
When was the last time they ran 3 trains?

On Monday they ran all 3 trains for Raging Bull. It wasnt crowded in the morning and w/the 3 trains I had a ten minute wait.

For you I guess it was a mechanical problem, but if it wasnt, do they just sometimes not run all three trains because they just dont think its crowded enough?

I thought Trailblazer was closed since last Thursday. I have been there 15 time this year and the only time I saw Raging Bull in 3 train was opening day. Each time, a different train is off.

SFGAMan: It was plenty crowded enough to warrant 3 train op. An hour wait.

I've been away for a week in Texas, so I have to ask: What's wrong with Trailblazer?

Don't you think he knows, you know, he knows, you know, you know? Or not. I'll be under a rock if you need me.

Last thursday, it was stopped on an angle. Sort of like power dive was back in 2001.
Aww. I liked trailblazer.

There probably gonna take that out now. :-)

If they do, I'll be really upset that I neglected to ride it earlier this year.
I don't think they will. It is a fairly new ride and I saw some mechanics working on it when I was riding the Scenic Railway. I wouldn't worry about it.

Smell ya later!

Actually when I was there last thursday, it was the Yellow train which wasn't in operation. And I believe it had gotten stuck at the top of the lift hill earlier that week.

If you haven't rode Raging Bull in the back row you haven't lived. The feeling on that first drop cannot be explained in words!

Of these 2 train days, how many were days with any rain at all in them? Or a forecast for rain? Also, think of the age group that works at the park as a majority and that it was weekdays when school/college is still going.....you can put the rest of the pieces together.
They haven't ran three trains on each side of the Eagle since probaly the early-mid ninetys. Because there is absoultey no use for them, because if they run both sides, it's a total of 4 trains. 99% of the time they use 2 trains on each side. And the line is always fairly short. I also think one of the reasons is because of the very cranky Buzz-Ratcheting Bars. It takes at least 5+ buzzes to get everyone out, and by then, the Eagle is near the top of the lift, and there would be tons of stacking.
