I then walked on to the second row of Batman. Great as usual.
I then joined a small line of people waiting in front of the gates of Ragin’ Cajun, as it was now testing. While waiting I saw…low and behold…Déjà vu was testing. I double-time it over to find the station empty. I waited three cycles for the front wing seat. You keep hoping when it is running they found the secret formula to keep it going, but in the back of your mind you keep thinking when is it going to break down again.
After that I walked over to Viper and rode in the back with no wait. It was running a little sluggish today, as I didn’t really get any of the good air I usually get back there.
Waited about 20 minutes for back row of Raging Bull. While waiting in line, I heard the people behind me talking. “I think our favorite was Virtuosity.” I thought for a second maybe they were talking about the Denzel Washington movie. But then they preceded to pull out a park map and look for it.
Giant Drop was still a walk on at 11:00. After that I tried the new Panda Express. The orange chicken tastes just as good as the stores outside the park. The price was a bit more of course. I still like the atmosphere of eating in the park.
Revolution was back open after a week or two hiatus. I like the ride, but after riding Delirium, it wasn’t as good. Actually, I think Revolution is more forceful, but Delirium is more fun.
Rode American Eagle Red in the front car after a 3 train wait. I walked through the Kid’s Fest area. The park had a lot of stuff set up, but it didn’t seem that many kids were around for it. Also I noticed a character buffet they were advertising at the Snowshoe lounge.
I saw King Chaos was running. I got in line and got on after three cycles. This would be my first ride on it, as it just opened. After one inversion we got stuck halfway up facing the balloon race ride. We then rocked back and forth for about four minutes. Yes, we were stuck. I don’t know what was worse, the sun blazing down on me, or hearing that awful singing from the sound studio right next to the ride. The mechanics finally came and got us down. We got an exit pass and a free drink voucher for our trouble. My first exit pass ever !
By the time I finished my drink, King Chaos was back open. The manager who saw me off the ride must have noticed me by my Nitro shirt, as he side “I hope we get you a full cycle this time.” The ride is all right. The first part and ending are good, but the middle of the cycle is a bit slow. Also it is still screeching like a banshee. I heard some people say they wouldn’t ride it because of that. Hopefully they can still work on that.
I decided to use my exit pass on Ragin’ Cajun. My luck would follow as right before we dispatched, every car stopped. One car was still running the course when some lady riding with me was like “Its going to crash into the other one.” I said it wouldn’t, and I was right. They unloaded us and put us back in the line. The op gave me back my exit pass. I was thinking I might get two uses out of this.
The manager who saw me at Chaos walked up and said “Nitro, we meet again.” To which I responded “I must be good luck today.” It took about 25 minutes to cycle it through. They let me back on, but the op asked for my exit pass. I was hoping he would forget. Oh well. The ride is fun and more forceful that it looks. It really packs a punch. I don’t think the ride was ready to run five cars though, as that must have been the reason for the stop.
It was two and after that I left the park. *** Edited 6/24/2004 3:20:50 AM UTC by ChiDan1972***
Please wait for the ride to come to a full and complete stop. Push down, then pull up on your lap bar. Thank and enjoy the rest of your day at CoasterBuzz.
