Well, finally I got my first coaster ride of the year in the other day (sorry the TR's a little late). No rain or storms to stop us (actually, there was a light sprinkle going at one point in the day, but that lasted maybe 15 minutes), and it was a great day. I went to the park with a few friends and a friend of one of my friends that I hadn't met yet. Well, here's how it went.

Shockwave - This was the first coaster we went on. I'd heard reports that it was running great and some that it was running horribly this year, and what did I think? Pretty good. Not terrible at all, still only one or two times you actually have to worry about nailing your head on, but it shook you enough to give you a good ride. The turn into the brakes is still a shaker, no doubt about it, but for the most part, the ride's pretty good, powerful g's during the first half, the falling out feeling on the second half, drop was nice, what more could I really want?

V2 - This is where we ran to after our trip on Shockwave, and after a wait of about 40 minutes, we got on, and the ride was running GREAT! The launch gave me that great feeling at first, but it doesn't keep it's punch. The entire ride was great though, this is still probably my second or third favorite ride in the park, I'd say that I enjoy it more than Batman due to the feeling it's able to give me in my stomach when going down.

Iron Wolf - A coaster I continue to love. There were 2 spots where I hit my head, that's it. The g forces at the end were so powerful that my knees were buckling. Overall an awesome example of what a stand-up should be.

Batman - Line was short, we rode it in front, and it was an awesome ride. Great visuals as usual, and just a powerful and fast trip on this thing, first 2 vertical loops had some great g's, and the ride overall was delivering just as well as it has been the past 10 years.

Viper - Rode third to back row as usual, and it delivered like it always has. TONS of air, powerful laterals, and a great ride. What else can I say about this thing that hasn't been said? It's simply one of the better wooden coasters out there. My second favorite ride and coaster at the park.

Raging Bull - Rode this twice in front and once in the 6th row (last ride of the night). When in line for it the first time, I noticed a yellow Coasterbuzz shirt a while behind me, guy had a couple of earrings and short hair and a goatee, anyone know who this is? I would've said hi, but he was way back there and when he passed me in line (scared of the front? (j/k)) he went more towards the middle of the train. Ride delivered as always, great air on EVERY hill. Great ride.

American Eagle (backwards) - It wasn't bad at all, blue side has always been very rickety, and it still is, but still, backwards was a cool experience. I really wish that they would've retracked the blue side, if they have, I can't tell, because it really doesn't feel like it has been. Oh well, still a solid ride, that same great first drop, and one to hit on every visit, no wait at all either.

Giant Drop - Up, down, ride over. Still, that drop gives a better rush still today than most drop rides out there, always worth a ride if there's not much of a line.

We rode other stuff, but that's the major part of our trip. Deja Vu was running all day, just without people, so we never did get a ride in on it. There's always next time, that is, if I'm not bad luck to that ride.

Don't worry about Deja Vu, it's been doing remarkably well so far. Glad you had a fun time.

Hey! , That was me! I'm surprised you saw me..lol. I had my fiance and her kid's in tow too. 2 boys, 1 tall and one short. It was their 1st time at the park. That shirt got tight after we rode Splash Water Falls. I have a diamond and a hoop in my ear. I'm surprised you noticed me. You should ahve stopped by and said hi! We were trying to get as many rides in as we could on the coasters so we only sat in the front seat when there was a short line. I rode V2 for my first time and had a blast! Got in line for Deja Vu toward the end of the night on the 20th, got all the way up to and inside the station and the damn thing didn't make it up the 2nd tower and and it hit the brakes down between the loop and that tower. Deja Vu angers me immensely when it breaks down. I'll write my TR on Sunday when I have more time on my hands. Say hi next time!

stoogemanmoe, hey, sorry I didn't say hi, but glad I figured out who you were. I don't know if you saw me or not, but when I saw you in line for RB it was middle/late afternoon, and I was with two kids one 6' 3" and the other 6' 4", so I was kinda dwarfed at 5' 11", but I do have some memorable features. For one, I was the only person I saw at the park that day wearing a Slayer shirt (pictures of band members on four corners, and Slayer written in blood in the middle), and I've got long hair. Don't have my ears pierced anymore (that's an on/off thing for me), but my hair is brown, and it looked terrible after an early ride on Roaring Rapids (BAD MOVE). Well, if you think you remember seeing me, let me know. If I see you again there, I'll be sure to say hi.

As for Deja Vu, I've pretty much come to the conclusion that I'm bad luck for it. Every time I'm at the park, the day before it's running fine and not running the day I'm there, or all the rides are shut down and I don't even bother going in (well, this since Fright Fest last season). Hopefully I'll get a ride in on it some day, I'm going to the park again Monday, anyone gonna be there, my description is above, so if you see me, let me know. Hopefully I'll finally get that ride in on it.
