GAm probably doesn't need a lot of perks to draw a serious number of passholders...and most of the perks I've seen were lacking in any real value to us. The only SP item we got *any* use out of was the SFKK ride-again coupon....but we wasted it on Chang, ROFL...;)

Why do so many parks offer season passholders something then? Your logic doesn't hold up, really. You purchase the pass to gain admission for the season, how you consider that a *perk* is beyond me. Season passholders spend more money in a year than your typical once or two visit guests. Most parks realize this and have special events for guests throughout the year or SOME kind of extra thing for passholders (SFWoA has the passholder only parking lane, SFoG has coupon books with actual valueable coupons, CP has the JCC which enables you into the park 30mins before GP, Busch parks have reride perks, free parking perks, discounts in park perks, etc etc etc...the list goes on).
I'm glad you're quite happy with your "getting admission to the park all year perk" (lol), but the fact is, more parks offer passholders something extra than parks who don't. SFGAm just happens to be a park that doesn't, and I think it's perfectly fine for people to wonder why without you accusing them of being spoiled.
EDIT: Some more perks I just forgot to mention from some local parks are SFoG's Passholder Only day at the end of the season and PC's 30mins of ERT *every operating day* on Top Gun.
