SFGAm 5-04-02 Not crowded!

Well today was opening weekend obviously. We go tot the park at 9:45 and didn't get in till 10:00am. We went to get fastlane. I know you guys don't like it but my friends bought me one, so it was free.

We first went to Deja Vu. Surprisingly we waited only 45 minutes with one breakdown. When we finnaly went on it, it was great. At the end of the ride it broke down in the station. We were on it and the floor wouldn't come up. We sat in the Deja Vu seats for 15 minutes untill we were able to get off.

Next was Viper. Waited 20 minutes for Back row. I love the air time.

Onto lunch at 11:45

Next we went to Raging Bull. We used the fastlane and waited for front row. It broke down while we were in the station but it was only for 5 to 10 minutes.

Now onto AE backwards. Waited about 20 minutes. I really love backwards. I hope they keep it backwards for seasons to come.

Iron wolf we used our 2nd fastlane. We sat second row and I think this ride is getting rougher. It wasn't as rough last year but I still love this ride and I hate when people bad mouth it.

Next onto Batman. Batman's fastlane line is hidden. There is something different on Batman's fastlane. We had to wait awhile. The attendant said for every 2 fastlane users, they have to let 10 people pass. We were a group of 4 so we had to wait till 20 people passed. I think everyone will like that a little bit better that fastlane users actually have to wait a little longer this season. This ride makes me dizzy.

Onto V2. Used our last fastlane and it took so long. Because as I said for Batman, they have to let a certain amount of people pass by.

We then went to a show by shockwave. It was a lady who hypnotizes people from the audience. My friends were chosen to go up there and they said it din't work. They played along with it. I wonder why she only does the first 2 weeks for the season.

Next onto Shockwave. I skipped because I didn't want a headache.

We went onto Demon next. 5 min wait.

Then whizzer. Whizzer broke down while we were in line so we left the line. It was only 7 but we were tired and we rode every coaster except Whizzer and Spacley Sprockets.

It was fun because it wasn't at all crowded. It also was nice weather.

I was there wearing a millenium force t-shirt. You didn't think the park was crowded?! I guess I showed up to late in the day when the crowds came in. Way to many bus loads for my taste. All in all I saw alot of improvements done with SFGam. Seems like they spent money on fixing batmans themeing.

So wait Jed, explain to me how FastLane @ SFGAm works. As you know, SFI still has like 2bazillion different incarnations of their "reduced wait" programs. You said you were able to wait for the front row on Bull and that they made you wait for the 'regulars' to pass on B:TR. Am I safe in assuming that they are merging the lines before the station, or are they still walking people up the exit?

Last year on raging bull the fastlane line and regular line merged pretty close to the main walkway into the station house. You then could go into any line you wanted too.

I was there yesterday wearing a Rob Van Dam T-shirt that said "The Whole Dam Show" on the back, I was the first one on Deja Vu in the morning front row! I thought it got pretty crowded during the afternoon with all those bands there. Oh and for Batmans Fastlane it lets you in right before the tunnel.

The line for fastlane merges with the normal line before the station.

On V2 you merge at the bottom of the stairs same thing with Raging Bull. Iron wolf right before the station. As coasterdude 316 said batman is right before the tunnleif i remember correctly roaring rapids and loggers run are right in the station I could be wrong. Splash water falls is right before the station. Did anyone notice how Fast Lane now has its own building instead ofj ust a little booth? Now its more soild in the park. I hope that helps explain!

I should have known that SFGAm would be the *one SF park to actually do the Fastlane thing *RIGHT*. The line merging before the stationis the only way to avoid delays in the station. That's how Disney does it, and the only way IMO that works for all.

Is it any wonder why this is my favorite park?

That's also how Islands Of Adventure does it on certain rides such as Ripsaw Falls. I think it works great.

I saw someone wearing a Millenium Force t-shirt while I was in line for AE backwards. Were you wearing a hat and a blue coat? Were you by yourself on AE?

I think I also saw CoasterDude316. Were you waitng for Viper backrow? Did you have a friend? Did you also have a gray sweatshirt? If so, I was right behind you in the Viper backrow line.

Yes, I was on AE backwards by myself.....my brother and his gf was in front of me.

You might have seen me Jed, I was waiting for the seat right before the backrow on Viper. I might have been holding my black Nike sweatshirt at the time.
