SFGAM 2004 Map Revealed

Neat!! I think is the one of the more realistic looking maps. I never knew AE had two helices...

The map art is a representation of the real ride. As long as the average Joe can find the ride on the map and associate it with the real thing, then the map has done it's job. Who cares if Batman The Ride or Demon (for example) has 5 vertical loops in the map - Jon Doe sure doesn't, cause he/she probably won't notice or care, quite frankly!

I dunno if that was in response to me Krax, but I was actually making a positive comment on how accurate the map was on the ride layouts.

So wait, DejaVu was PURPLE and yellow... is that just a mistake or has it/is it being painted?

Adjust your hue, man. Looks blue and green on my screen. Don't look now, but Batman isn't navy and yellow on the map (gasp!). How will people find it?!? ;)

Although, if I may enthusiass for a second, (and this is really from more of a customer relations/artistic taste standpoint), I would think it would benefit parks to paint different rides as distinctly as possible. Whenever I'm pointing out rides to people, I'll direct them by color. It's easier than saying "the loopy one," especially at a park like SFGAm. I mean, there's plenty of color schemes to go around. Certainly a park could avoid, say, painting two adjacent rides in a similar color scheme... I'm looking at you, SFGAm, SFGAdv, and CP...

Not saying folks couldn't tell the difference between the rides. Just that a little diversity in coloring would be pleasing all around.

What adjacent coasters at SFGAm are identical in color Olsor? If you are referring to Batman's new color scheme, it appears that the track will be yellow and the supports stay black as seen in these 2 pics that I snapped last weekend. Plus your V2 has an orangish hue! Nitro and Batman (in gadv's case) however, would be exact color twins if it weren't for the pink rails. *** Edited 4/7/2004 11:07:26 PM UTC by Antuan***

No, it never was going to. Just the area between the railroad tracks and Yankee Harbor bridge are being revamped. The area remains Orlean's Place in name.

No, it's definately purple and yellow. Adjust the hue on YOUR screen, trust me. ;)
