SFGAM 2001

Remember back when SFGAM's new coaster next year was first announced. The article stated that the trains will be different in design/prototype. What do you think about a 4 accross Invertigo. Possible?

That would be wild, They said it is a super boomerang, maybe thats what they meant...
I want my SKYWHIRL back!

Who said it was going to be a Super Boomerang? I've heard speculation, but I haven't heard a park official say that. I always thought it'd be cool if they built another S:UE there. Except maybe change the layout a touch so its not a clone.

You build it, I'll ride it
Just in case you don't know, Gurnee approved the ride yesterday. You can read a posting about it in rec.roller.coaster. A new tidbit about the ride is that it will use a cable lift system with no anti-rollback. So, the vertical towers look like they could be a possibility. No new details were given out about the stats or the seating. The fact that it's going to be 180 ft. with a 120 ft. loop, along with the towers, makes it a super invertigo. Also, did anyone find out about the strange encoded(or not) messages in the queue for B:TR.
Oh yeah, the meeting for the second coaster is Oct. 25th
TODAY IS THE BIG DAY OCTOBER 25................ What will the second coaster be?
Booo, it's a Superman Ultimate Escape clone.
Oh well, So much for the launched thrust air/giga/floorless/liquid/record-making/record-braking/krush-grooving and body moving roller coaster. But S:UE is not a bad deal, I see this as sort of their attempt to replace Tidal Wave by adding two coasters that go through their track backwards.
A Sue clone!!!!! Oh yeah, I am ready for April of 2001!!!! Bring it on.

This is the first clone coaster for SFGAM.

It sounds to me like both new coasters could be considered clones. I know they said the first would be a prototype but from the description it's sounds quite similar to Two-Face: The Flip Side. The biggest issue here will be two slow-loading coasters at a high-capacity park. The waits for these could be horrendous. On the positive side, maybe the lines for my favorites, B:TR and Viper, will be shorter.

I agree. I could ride those 2 allday long.
Chi-town: dont get too excited, SUE while very fun, was still not that great. i'm actually looking more to the invertigo. I'm just happy that they finally decided to put something on that side of ther park (though I wish they had went for Orleans Place instead you Yankee Harbor). Maybe now crowds will be a bit more balanced.
The location of Superman is going in the place of Whirligig. I think this is a cool location. If the track runs out over the lagoon by Logger's run, that would make for a cool setting.

Count me in the camp that thinks SUE is one amazing experience. While SFGAm is adding two lower capacity coasters, they are adding them on separate sides of the park. I think because of that, it will spread the crowds out very nicely. Instead of everyone and their grandma running the marathon to Raging Bull, some will go head for SUE (which won't be called SUE, AFAIK) and some to the Super Invertigo, and then others to Bull.

On another note, Wintrode said one of the towers for SUE will be over water, so that will add something to it. I think he said the twist spike, but I'm still hoping for the straight spike to be over water. Whirligig will not be removed, but will be moved to another location in the park (unknown at this time). That's about it.

"Legend 1 looks too intense for me."
Well, I can't complain. I really would have liked a floorless or even a mouse. But SUE and the inveritgo sound cool enough. And as previously said, maybe lines for the other three world class rides (RB, B:tR, Viper) will be shorter. :)

That's my take

Is their an official post with all this info somewhere?
