What a wonderful day! For once I really had fun and finally met some other coaster buzz posters and also got to talk to a couple of employees.
The day started off at about noon. While I was parking I found that there were at least 4-5 maintenance personnel working around Shockwave. When I got over by the ride I noticed that there was a crane inside the fence doing something by the base of the lift hill and there was 2 people on the mid course brakes pulling sensors off.
Inside the park
Headed to the Whizzer first thing wait time 20 minutes good crew great ride as always 2 rides
Next I went over to viper wait time 10 minutes, the crew on this simply sucked it took them apx.5 minutes to load the train. They were constantly stacking trains, which I found surprising considering there is only 2 trains 1 ride
Next I went to Raging Bull wait time 20 minutes great crew and one very cute ride op. great ride except for trims was very fast 2 rides this was where I met an ACEer and, Mark a ride op supervisor I think, great guy to talk to. We talked about how SFGAM employees read this site and how he was enjoying the speculation about a ride he all ready knows about. He also stated that he knew when the announcement day was but he couldn’t tell for obvious reasons. I must also thank mark for adding the 3rd train to reduce the wait time from 20 minutes to under 10 minutes.
On to the Great American Railway. I mention this because the operators were outstanding and very funny. Good work guys
Next Iron Wolf wait time 5 minutes good crew but hates when you click the seat belts. Had a lot of fun with this idea the rest of the day. 3 rides lift hill is a great place to see the new track but only in the front row.
On to Batman wait time 10 minutes great crew had fun with seat belts again 5 rides in different rows front is actually the best ride
Over all the park was fairly empty and all of the rides had small lines including v2 and Deja Vu both of which I hate.
When the park closed I headed over to my truck which I had parked in front of Shockwave. When I got there I noticed a couple of people taking pictures of the ride so I went and said hi. Needless to say more people started taking pictures and one by one they joined our group. In the end there were 4-5 coaster buzzers and 3-4 other coaster enthusiasts in one group. We got to talking and the one guy said that he was very upset because he had been on SW 4995 times and wanted to make it 5000 on labor day weekend but didn’t get the chance. Another person who is an employee at SFGAM stated that there is 4d lift hill parts hidden in a maintenance shed. Another employee who joined the group a couple of minutes later confirmed this. He basically told us that X is going where Shockwave is and Super Man is going in by Batman where all of the flat rides are missing.
Ondrew
P.s. please don't attack my for my grammar I know its not the best. I apologize in advance
Edit** Hears the demag crane link I promised. This is supposedly what they are going to use do disassemble Shockwave

4d my butt.
I'm sure with a little effort you could've made this a touch more readable and enhanced your credibility. Also, is your name really Ondrew, or is it Andrew?

Guys, seriously, take it easy....my *thought* is that ondrew really is European, hence the atypical US spelling and grammar customs...(for evidenSe, he did apologiSe in advanSe). Thanks ondrew....good TR, but I really do think that employee who told you about the 4d was "pulling your chain", so to speak.
P.S....Am I really the only one who ENJOYS the diversity and internationalism....still waiting to find out whether the Aussies use feet or metres.....
bill, who has NO room to speak on capitalisation whatsoever....;)
I AM NOT EUROPEAN AND I AM JUST RELAYING INFORMATION THAT WAS TOLD TO ME if this person was pulling my leg so be it but the employee who happens to do matince descibed the track perfectly.
SO BACK OFF
AND YES MY NAME IS REALY ONDREW HARTIGAN AND I LIVE ONLY AN HOUR SOUTH OF THE PARK.
I WOULD LIKE TO TELL A COUPLE OF YOU WHAT I REALY THINK BUT THAT WOULD VIOLATE THE T.O.S. OF THIS SITE

Sorry bout the spelling comment.....Radging Bull just seemed to un-easy to misspell unlike "El Toro" if you guys remember back to 1998 when people thought it was "Torro" or how people spelled Millennium with only one "n" when it is 2....bringing back memories for any of yas? :) I truly wanted to know if someone was faking my name, the funny part is, as a joke one of my uncles has called me "Ondrew". Lastly, Raging Bull usually adds the 3rd train around noon on fall weekends, i think it has been like this for a while now.

SFGAm Viper
Wizzer=Whizzer
Radging Bull=Raging Bull
and the one that made me cringe even more: Deja voo instead of Deja Vu.
Yes, a lot of us DO understand that mistakes in spelling and grammar happen. But when an entire post is littered with bad spelling and grammar, it makes the post difficult to read and understand, and credibility drops dramatically when relaying what you heard. For someone who lives so close to the park, you'd think you could at least spell the rides correctly.
The TOS requests that posters do a reasonable job of using correct spelling and grammar. At the very least, capitalization and punctuation help to make posts easier to read.

I'd rather die living than live like I'm dead
Hello everybody. You all don't know me from Adam, but I don't really care. I couldn't help but notice a few of you so arrogantly picking on someone who has trouble with proper grammar, though.
I've had almost 6 years of experience in online discussion groups. When I started discussing online, I was (unintentionally on my part) rather annoying to the people around me. I've been through countless flamewars, watched innumerable debates, and witnessed and participated in way too many personal attacks. I've watched online communities rise and fall, and I've watched administrators burn out from constant barrages of crap like some of you are spewing here. I've seen it all.
I know you don't care, but hey, you're still reading...
The biggest thing I've learned from all of this is how it DOESN'T MATTER. Grow up, get a life, realize there are people out there different than yourselves. Maybe even try going outside, there's a world out there that doesn't have flourescent lights on the ceiling. And there's no hum of a computer in the background outside either - amazing.
I know Ondrew in person. He's been a good friend of mine for over a year now, we've even taken the drive up to Great America together. I know, big deal. His name really is Ondrew. Weird, huh? Actually its a pretty cool name, imagine how lame it would would be if we just had Andrews, or Johns, or Brians - but don't hurt yourselves too much from thinking too hard.
Contrary to what you may believe, Ondrew is an adult, educated, mature, skilled, all that crap. He has a hard time with grammar, just like I have an incredibly hard time with math. He's not stupid, he's not an annoying 12 year old kid, and he's not a liar. But you don't care cause you're fat and happy behind your keyboards and you get off by tearing people down on a message board where you don't have to look others in the eye. How big of you, I'm impressed.
I can't help myself but laugh at a group of purportedly mature individuals who act in such mindless ways. Its like taking a 100 level class and leaving feeling dumber than you were when you walked in, because of all the stupid comments the rif raff make. Funny, but insulting at the same time.
Lets talk about your precious terms of service, and then I'll shut up so you can flame me.
I read where you were referring to...
"You agree, through your use of this service, that you will not use CoasterBuzz to post any material which is knowingly false and/or defamatory, inaccurate, abusive, vulgar, hateful, harassing, obscene, profane, sexually oriented, threatening, invasive of a person's privacy, or otherwise in violation of any law. You agree not to post any copyrighted material. You agree that all posts made to CoasterBuzz become the property of POP World Media, LLC.
You agree to use proper grammar and spelling in the forums."
...and it looks like a few of you are at fault. If you're too dense to look at yourselves how I've examined you above, there might still be hope, cause here its spelled out in plain English. I think some of your comments were clearly abusive, harassing, and defamatory. On the other hand, Ondrew did not knowingly post false information. And moderators, as for making someone agree to use proper grammar - that's a bit over the top. This is a fan site as far as I understand, not an elitist club. Or is it?
Sure, people who don't post using correct grammar usually aren't treated as credible sources, unless the deficiency is explained. That's no excuse to puff yourselves up and trash them though. Put a little more thought into your replies before spewing off. As far as I can see, Ondrew hasn't acted consistently in a manner which destroys credibility. I understand why he got frustrated midway in the thread - if I were in his shoes I would have. But come on people, grow up. Or flame me, you know you want to.
