SFGAm - 7/21

Associated parks:
None

All of you know what the rides are here by now and what to expect on them. This is just to gage how crowded the park was.

I got to the park just before the 10am opening. Since I have a season pass, I was able to bring a friend for free. The friend I chose was a friend of mine's 13 yr old child who hadnt been on any of the big rides except for Eagle front. We were in the park at 10:01am and headed to the right for we could see the Superman line hitting the carosel.

Raging Bull: 10 minute wait, line started at the Fastpass entrance - last row
Giant Drop: no line
Viper: Station wait - 4 train wait for 1-3
Demon: Station wait - 3 train wait for 1-1
Eagle: Blue - 20 minute wait, line started at red/left blue/right sign. 3 train wait for 1-1 (row with nobody in front of you) on train #3

At this time it was just passed 11am and the lines were starting to build.

Batman: 1hr 15min - line started at the entrance to Gotham City Park with all the switchbacks filled.
V2: 1hr wait - line started at entrance, no line on bridge
Logger Run: 1hr 30min wait - full line
Batman: 1hr wait - single line through Gotham City Park

At this time (4:30pm) we decided to head outside of the park to get some Icee's and what not.

Superman: 1hr 30min wait - full line, major stacking of trains
Demon: 10min wait - line started 1/2 way between station and rocks.
Raging Bull: 20min wait - single file line spilling into midway
Superman: 1hr wait - single file line spilling into miday.

Notes: The person that came with me had only been on Eagle and no other major roller coaster. Half way through the day, he was directing me as to which rides we were going to hit! Superman had major stacking issues. Most of the time, the train that just completed the circuit would have to sit on the brake run a couple minutes before they would launch the next train. Deja Vu (as reported the previous day) had the "Ride Will Not Open Today" sign up. Eagle blue was running train #2 & train #3 (train #1 was nowhere to be seen). Train 3 seemed faster and smoother than I remember my last ride a few weeks ago. All in all, the lines were bearable and it was a great day to show a future enthusiast the light of day.

Cool, Sounds like you had a good day.

This may sound like i dumb question because it's probably mentioned in about 2,000 posts right now but: Why is Vu closed again?

Favorite Coasters at SFGAm: 1.)Superman 2.) Viper 3.) Batman 4.) Bull 5.)Eagle

From what I heard, it got stuck on the lift last weekend and has been closed since.
All I heard was that it was simply...................................... down for some reason. I would think more people would know if it got stuck. I know that when it valleyed in between the loop and 2nd tower in May 2002, it was on CBS 2.
