SFGAdv S:UF to SFOG S:UF

I've done X and two flyers (Stealth, X-Flight). And the sensations each of the ride styles produce are not as similar as you would think.

Well Great Adventure's has the better station/queue house .........so nyah :)

I'm not sure what's so special about the station.

I think the small building you pass through to enter the queue (which is 95% outdoors) just blocks any good view of the ride. I suppose it's facade is more impressive than what SFOG has going on, but I think SFOG's highlights the pretzel so much better. SFGAdv just gives a glance of the prezel as it peeks over the building.

I think what Brent is trying to say is that there isn't anything a flyer can do that a 4d can't.

But think about it Bill. X does all the things a flyer does, and then some. Doesn't it sort of negate the need for a flyer.

I would have to agree that a flyer AFTER a 4-d does seem a little redundant...apparently SFMM agrees as well...;) But I could envision a *themed* (dare I say indoors) flyer that could offer a completely different experience, and still make a *significant* contribution to a park's line-up. Sure the 4-d can do everything a flyer does, but it can do anything almost ANY coaster does...X, at least IMO, is the most revolutionary thing since tubular steel came along. I still see ROOM for flyers, it's just a little more crowded...;)

You mean a themed indoor attraction as opposed to a pitch dark one? Now that is a concept Six Flags and Cedar Fair need to look into ;)

For looks I give it to Sfgadv's, because of the entrance and it gives a peek of the PL because its a sample of whats to come. The Queve is under the ride with the hero cut outs, they just improved these 2 new S:UF's from Sfog's to make it better. The PL is still intense, but longer drop into the trench. The turn afterwards just curves upwards and swoops down straight after that. The last turn isn't at the ground just over the line and goes through the lift hill supports. The tunnel dosn't make a difference I see, because you don't notice it when your in flying position. The comment about the parking lot coaster is funny, this may be a parking lot coaster but if there was a award for best parking lot coaster this one would win, look at it, im impressed they did a good job making it look the opposite. Its just going to get better because they put in straw things that the grass should start growing out of soon. My friend rode S:UF in Georgia on saturday and said it was the best ride in the park.
How do the trains compare? Is S:UF at GADV trains bigger than the ones at SFoG?
