If you bought your 2001 season passes in October 2000 and had them processed at the same time (as I did), you have to go and have a hole punched in the "P" of your parking pass and they will give you a red thing to hang on your car's rear-view mirror. That's new this year and if I hadn't accompanied a friend to get their pass processed this past weekend, I wouldn't have know about it until opening day...GASP! (17 1/2 more days!)
Cool is this good at all six flags parks
Hummm, I don't know. Maybe someone in Buzzland does know. But I'm SO GLAD I found out about my park...I could see me drooling like Homer Simpson on my way to the park to ride Nitro and then have them tell me I have to take care of parking pass business first...I'd have to open a vein!! It's so nice to be a member of this site where we're all coaster junkies! My family thinks I've totally lost it!
It's really easy to get your parking done, I went to SFGADV yesterday to get my pass as my season tickets were processed in Oct. Guest Relations takes care of the whole thing it took about 5 min. There was no line at all. I will say that next week on opening day it will probably take much longer. While I was there I looked around and there is indeed a new gate by the Scream Machine for season pass holders. The parking lot to the left as you exit the toll gates is the season pass parking lot. If you were given a letter for the cupon books guest relations also takes care of that issue as well. The person at guest relations didn't have any details on how fast pass was going to work but assured me it would be in place next weekend for opening day.
ZEPPLINFAN: The parking pass is only good at the park you purchased it for.

That's not exactly true, my SFA parking pass was good at SFGadv. ------------- What is life with out coasters, geniuses, and/or SFA
Oh, I forgot to mention when I asked the lady at guest reations why the change in parking passes she said that last year the parking attendants did not check for parking on season passes all that closely and the park felt they were loosing their parking fee too many times. This year waving you season pass at the gate attendant will not get you through except on your first visit to the park if you don't have the parking tag. She also said that there was a cut off date for processing your parking passes on tickets purchased in October. They will still give you the pass if you paid for it but, after the cut off date there will be no first visit parking admission. I asked what the cut off date was and all she knew was that it would be sometime in May.
You got lucky, I paid for parking at SFA,SFDL,SFNE,and SFGA last year. I even pointed out the fact that I had parking on my pass and the attendant told me at those parks it was only for Great Adventure. The attendants at those parks actually took the time to look at my pass.
