SFGAdv Pass Processing Observations!!!!!

Hey guys...just got back form SFGAdv and I now have my SFGAdv pass and SFHH pass for the 2002 season. Couple of things I felt I needed to point out to the board:

First off, the best news: The parking lot is being re-paved!!!!!! Currently, the whole area that was preferred parking last year is being done. No idea as to when it wi;ll be finished. 3/4 of the entry road has been re-paved. I mean the areas that needed it most. The bridge over 537 was paved, and the area immediately following SFHH's entrance was paved up to the parking booths.

Second: SFHH now has a new sign. The old sign was just a small thing that said Hurricane Harbor, and it was barely noticeable. Now, it's huge and looks suspiciously a lot like Typhoon Lagoon's entrance.

Third: The old sling shot is gone. I can confirm Thrill Shot. Thrill Shot is not built yet, but the park maps and guides all show it.

Fourth: Character Cafe is now only missing the big ice cream things on each side. All of the little ice cream things in the middle were repainted and are back.

Fifth: I saw lots of pine trees being brought in...

That's about it! Looks like a fun season!!

Sixth: Time Warp is gone.

Seventh: Chiller:Batman train is on, Robin train missing.

Don't forget that Easter is season pass day, even though their web site says they are closed. Season pass holders only. No guests, even with coupons. Should be a fun day. Guest relations said one other private group and season pass holders. I wonder what private group that is?

What time were you there? We arrived at 10 AM and left by 10:45.

Actually, you're in luck if you are Jewish. Easter Sunday March 31st is also the same day the Jewish Community Centers of Metrowest New Jersey is having an event at SFGAdv.

So the only two groups are season pass holders and members of the above group.

i see

ok im proably going, do you know the hours?

SFGAdv Easter Sunday hours are 10 AM to 6 PM. If weather cooperates, and the crowd lasts, closing will be 8 PM (from a reliable source). I'll be there. Hope to see some Buzzers there too!

Chiller Batman is still in the garage =( And 3 cars of Robin are on the track, the other 2 are in the garage.

I told you they were getting a ThrillShot! Ha, but no one wanted to believe me! Everyone one said they didn't announce it, well : P.

ok......take a deep breath.

Back to Great Adventure, I'm still pleading with my dad to gett passes so hopefully I can see this. Did Batman the Ride or the Scream Machine get new paint jobs? Does Viper look different?

Unfortunately, no to all 3 questions.

Ive never been to processing day. Can you walk around the entire park if you want? Or are some parts blocked off?

Touch The Sky

the only areas open for the processing dates are the main entry area, you must turn left at the fountain, go past the carousel, into the Boardwalk games area. There are ropes to keep ou on the left side of that whole area. There is one route to Dino Island, and you take the same way back. There's no other areas available.

Eater sunday is not Just a processing day! There are a few of those dates going on now in advance of opening day. Also there is another group in the park Easter sunday.

Sandy, or anyone else), was it not confirmed that Parachute Drop will be reopened? Also, does anyone have the "real" info on what they did to Viper?

Can't wait to try out Chiller with laps, esp. Batman side. Robin was retro'd but closed when we went...

Parachutes are on the map and are listed in the ride directory...so is the Space Shuttle, so I assume they will be operational this year.

The "real" thing they did to Viper is this: NOTHING! There's no damn difference from what it was to what it's gonna be when it opens. Maybe they welded a hole or something. The fact of the matter is that a crappy coaster is, unfortunately, not getting what it deserves (life as scrap) but is reopening to torture more poor souls.

Parachutes will be open, people were being trained on it this weekend, and the Space shuttle was running yesterday. Also I saw Viper running today and there were no problems with it.
