Last year, Opening Day (if I recall), was overcast and very cool, and the crowds weren't all that great. Someone who was actually there might have a better (more accurate and descriptive) answer...

Haha no I'm not giving Patrick the finger

If the weather is decent, like 60' or higher, they get slammed. I go there every year on 'Spring Break'. usually the week after the Easter hoilday, and it is a mob scene. But, always good times. Nothing like teasing the New Yorkers on a great past football season.
well letely the temps have been low. So if it it 44 degrees out it will feel warmer .Hmm THe only thing i can say though is that if it is 44 degrees out you will freeze your butt off on nitro.

Any case me and my gf are going fri sat and sun that weekend because sunday is season pass day and they have a buffet and everything

All I know is my bf and I will be there too- I don't care how cold it is. I dont know about you guys- but Im having wicked withdrawls. =).

It's New Jersey so you never know ;)

We've had temps in the 70's and then temps that were near freezing for opening weekend. They do a decent job getting the major rides going even if the temps are low but I wouldn't count on Chiller (no pun intended lol). It has saddled a few times during testing when it gets too cold. Oh, and somehow, RT is even worse...

Regardless, if the weather sucks then I would go. It's typically deserted when its too cold and you can re-ride all day long. Just watch out for early closings.

I've got my hat/ski goggles ready if I need them. I plan on being on Nitro on Good Friday

I was there last year the day after Easter. It was cold and raining lightly on and off most of the day. The longest I waited for was 10 minutes for Superman as everything else was a walk-on or one train wait.
Thanks for the Info! I look forward to a cold quite park
I definately plan on spending the weekend there. Getting down on Thursday night and staying till Sunday. Staying at a nearby hotel so the weather will not affect me too much. I am no longer taking chances with the weather since my drive each way is 6 hours. It also allows me the luxury of anticipating the long wait for their new coaster.

Kinda Ka will not be open till May!

I was there two years ago, the wednesday after the park opened...practically a walk on (or 5-10 minute waits) for every coaster except Superman, that one had about a half-hour wait...it was chilly that day, and the crowds were fairly low...so things were all good on my Spring Break at home :)

Make sure you bring extra underwear, hats, gloves, and ski goggles. It's a great time, but it gets really f'n cold.

Bring "extra" underwear? Let me guess.. it has nothing to do with the cold, but in case you.. well.. get thrilled on a coaster? ;)

Yep. After Nitro, I needed to change my underwear.

Now you know why they really call it "Good Friday!"

It has always amazed me that GAdv. has season passholders' day on Easter. I guess it means they lose the least amount of business, but it also probably means they attract the least amount of passholders.

Want to know the weird weather in the Northeast? Out here today, it was actually 66 degrees at one point...it's 53 now at 1 am...and this morning (Tuesday), it's supposed to snow!

So be prepared for anything...

They do that because Easter Sunday of 1988 they had a riot in the park. They have been closed to the GP on Easter Sunday ever since, and have the park open only to SP holders and (usually) a really large Jewish group.

ok here's proof of NJ weather.... 68 degrees yesterday afternoon and now at this moment SNOW is falling and accumulating.... *shakes his head*...

Watch the tram car please....
