SFGAdv having awesome weather!

The weather is crazy...it's the middle of November and it's about 70 degrees!!! No rain all month either. SFGAdv could still be rakin' in some bucks and I could still be riding Nitro!!! What a waste of perfect weather. Just wanted to moan a little, thanks. I don't handle down-time very well at all, and this weather is just rubbing it in my face!!!

Well, it isn't something that can be planned for. NJ (and PA) Novembers can be pretty rough. Not easy to switch a park over from "closed" to "open" because of nice fall weather... a lot of the things are "winterized" already and I assume some of the rides have already started their "winter maintenence". Not even going to mention the staffing problems that would occur.

"I wasn't always this cynical, but then I started kindergarden..."

Do you think that SFGAdv would call all of it's summer employees and say, "Get your arse to work!  We need to make money!"?

Oh, wait, it's SF Inc...they'll do anything for money...

Works for me!! Hey they only need a mini staff, just to run Nitro!!! ;) I can see I'm not going to get any sympathy! Drat!!!

I really wish us ride ops could go back to work when good weather came, but if only it were that easy.  U have to be officially terminated on the last scheduled day of the season, so if they ever wanted to open the park again, u'd have to be taken back then have to be trained all over again lol.  There's always April......
It's nice in Maryland, Pennsylvania, and Virginia also. So what. Like someone else said, I'm sure they're preparing the rides for winter. Find something else to fill the six months in between. And Coaster131, what park wouldn't do anything to make an extra buck? Rides ain't cheap whether you're a big park or a little park.

SFA 2002-What are they building?
Its about 75 today and I live 20 mins from SFGAdv.
Same weather here in Chicago, but this weather is usually normal for Chicago and SFGAm.  I think that SFGAm should seriously think about staying open through November.

Do you really even LIVE in/near Illinois?!? Chicago (and the midwest in gerneral) has some of the most unpredicatble weather in the country. You can wake up and it's 50degrees and raining, by noon it's sunny and seventy-five and by bedtime it's SNOWING! We used to have a saying when I was @ U of Illinois "If you dont like the weather, wait twenty minutes and it'll change!"

I believe what happened with the lighting bolt was when it first opened, it was indoors and an intamin creation.  Then they moved it outdoors and had arrow add on to it...or it was an arrow creation that intamin added on to...but I know for sure it was a hybrid of the two coaster companies....
