Today was a little overcast, but you know sfgadv, it never lets up with the crowds. We arrived around 10:00 and left around 6:00.
Nitro - The best ride there! They have applied new NITRO decals to the front cars of the trains. I rode this 4 times but only got on line 3 times, as there was an empty seat on my last run so i snuck in. On average there was a 15 minute wait, except for the first time, it was 35 minutes because the ride stopped on the chain lift adn they held a train (with people) on the midcouse brakes. Then, they were shuttleing empty trains for 10 minutes. The lift is also faster, because the second hill gives much more airtime and the helix is VERY intense. Its indescribable how much airtime this ride gives.
Medusa - Second best. We got here first, so we rode it about 7 times (twice up front, the rest wer rows 2,3,4,5,8). This has gotten a little rougher but it hasnt lost its charm. The Midcouse brakes were and have been on very hard for some reason. No wait time (considering we ran to it).
GASM - I was dissapointed. This, despite the new OTSR's and wheels, is still one of the worst coasters around. They have new brakes after the first loop, and they were on so hard i slammed against my seat. 10 minute wait, although i would rather have used my time on Nitro.
Batman the chiller - Very efficient in times between launches. Its a little smoother, but it had a 30 minute wait. I asked the ride op, and he said the robin would be up in about 2 weeks with the new lapbars!!!
B:TR - This also had a long line, but i love this ride. Until i get to talon, this was my first and closest inverted coaster. It broke down, making the wait almost an hour, but it was worth it.
Skull mountain - This ride is always empty, but its a cute fun little contraption. I rode it twice because of the airtime on the backseat.
Mine Train, Viper, Robin, Blackbeards LTT, and rolling thunder were all closed.
Evolution - This is the scariest flat ride ive ever been on. Did you know they actually have a vomit patrol??
Freefall - This never has a line anymore. I love the negative and positive G's you get on this ride.
There were a lot more flat rides there but we didnt ride.
The new Zamperla Z-FORCE was testing from 10:00 until 3:00. Then, it was taking passengers. This dosnt look as intense as the one at Dorney park.
Thats about it, except theres this HUGE new statue in the center of Main street instead of the fountain.
Its similar to the skyscraper ride shown on the extreem rides 2000 show, and the skyscraped at dorney park.
Z Force is made by Zamperla and is an upcharge (in addition to admission) ride. BTW I talked to someone who rode Evolution and he saw four people vomit while in line! No wonder they have a vomit patrol. I've got to ride this thing!
