The last day of GADV for the season. it was great. it was cold and windy and somewhat crowded. the line Nitro almost extended to Batman the whole day! The Robin side of The Chiller was amazing. totally better with the lapbars but still an instant headache goin thru the heartline roll. great ride. Medusa was running great. fast and hard. Three trains were goin so it was quick. Rolling Thunder was amazing. i never realized how great this coaster is! aside from making fun of the name , like rotting lumber and so on, it was the best ride of the day! the airtime on this coaster was wacky. i was all over the place in the seat! it was incredible at night. the loading was slow though --especially when a guy stood up on the ride goin up the lift hill. they stopped the ride walked up the lift and arrested him. thats was an extra 20 minutes...
whats was funny was i asked some girl ahead of me on line what was goin on when they stopped the ride and she said " It got stuck upside down or somethin." LOL oh man was that funny. talk about oblivious...
Batman was running excellent all day! it so fast and intense, even more at night! it was running way faster around 9 at night then at 1pm earlier. which brings up a question. Do coasters run faster in cold weather? the coasters today were flying! seemed more intense. anybody know?
Despite the crowds, it was a great day, the fright fest was cheesy, didnt see much goin on. the should do it better next year. later.
Wow, that's great that they arrested someone for standing up. I believe a worker killed himself on Rolling Thunder a long time ago by standing up. As for the question of weather and speed, they run much faster when it's hotter. I'm assuming that the lack of humidity and cold air blowing in your face made it seem faster to you.
You are the first person I've heard mention the instant headache on Robin...I was hoping that was no longer a problem...bummer!
well, it was the first ride i went on after driving 2 hours, so that might have affected it. as for the speed, it didnt seem faster , it felt faster! the g's were more, its was crazy.
How can u get an instant headache on Robin when there's absolutely nothing to bang ur head against?
I guess if some how your head was whipping real fast and suddenly went another way your brain could still bang around inside your skull. Kinda like a mini concussion (when your brain bangs inside your skull). Remember this is just a guess!!!
i wanna address two things....first, im really rackin my brain tryin to figure out why people like Rolling Thunder...that is BY FAR the roughest and lowest maintained wooden coaster ive ever been on...oh yeah, definitly the worst...yeah there is airtime, but not from hills, its from the fact that you get thrown around so much becuase its so freakin rough!!  what a piece of junk...IMO, they need to just torch the damn thing, lol :)  second thing, about the headache on Robin....yes it is VERY smooth now, but when you go thru that heartline roll, especially backwards, the sudden force of bein thrown around puts a number on youre neck and head.  its just the sudden change in gravitational force...and the fact that you are whipped in a 360 degree roll at probably over 50mph in about a second...anyway, just thought id clear those things up :)

ROLLERCOASTERS....BETTER THAN OXYGEN BABY!!!!!!
the heartline roll is still rough in reverse. its a very hard snap. one thing that i thought was awesome was the that you could not keep your hands in the air while going thru the cobra roll in reverse, there was so many g's pulling them down. awesome ride.
vacoaster freak, That is the most MINDLESS thinking Ive EVER heard on this site! It needs to get rehab that all! It is still a great coaster just dont ride the right side.
thank you! geez... Rolling Thunder is great. i think because it is rough its a great ride!
Yeah well, MINDLESS is what you get after riding Rotting Lumber. I have *no* idea what it would be like if it recieved proper care, but in the shape it's in now, I will be the first to donate my Zippo (TM) :)

A Nigerian Muslim sharia court sentences a pregnant woman found guilty of adultery to be stoned to death, but only after she has finished weaning her baby.
This is known in some parts of the Muslim world as compassionate conservatism

I have rode Robin 14 times since the laps bars were installed and the only pain I felt was when I bumped my knee once. Some people are never happy.
