SFGAdv & Z100? - CoasterBuzz

What exactly is going on at SFGAdv on Friday night with Z100? This may seem like a dumb question but I'm way out here in Lancaster PA and I don't get that radio station. I thought the park was going to be open for pass processing ONLY but, when I called Z100 they made it sound like the entire park was going to be open, and the person that I spoke to from SFGAdv didn't really know what was going on and she gave me someone's voice mail to leave a message on...Can ANYONE shed some light on the situation? Thanks!

only if you are a season pass holder or if you have tickets specifically for the concert is the only way you can go to the park on this day

I have a season's pass...I was going there to get it processed on Fri late night...if the coasters are going to be up and running I am thinking of trying to get there closer to the 4 PM opening. Will the rides be running?

I know that Z100 is hosting nitro Blast Off.They are giving away prizes and i guess they will broadcast Eden's Crush in concert.I know also that my local tv news is going to show a reporter of theirs riding nitro on friday between 5 and 5:30 pm.There will be people who obtained vip passes for the ride on it along with him.I know about the vip passes because my husband could have gotten one if his boss wasn't so stingy.Anyone who had a hand in making the ride got a limited number of vip passes for their company.My husband's company poured all the concrete and he found out tuesday he could have gotten a vip pass if the bosses would have been nice enough to announce they were available!!Ok enough griping,maybe Z100 will broadcast the Vip's after they get off nitro to.I think they mean anyone who registers for the campout can go into the park but,only as far as the parking lot.I also heard why Viper wont be open to the public Saturday,seem for this survivor audition one of the immunity challenges is to be the last to get off viper,i would definately bring a helmet and some ben gay for that one!!

Nitro Blast Off...Campout???? Survivor??? I am COMLETELY clueless as to any of these activities. What are they? Like I said earlier Z100 and GAdv were of no help to me!!!

On April 6, SFGAd will feature an exclusive, first-time-ever concert with EDEN'S CRUSH, stars of the WB "Pop Stars" series, at 7 p.m. in the Northern Star Arena. Select rides will be operating between 4 and 10 p.m. that evening (Looney Tunes Seaport and Bugs Bunny Land will not be operating; most large rides, including coasters, are scheduled to operate). Since this is not a "regular" park operating day, special tickets will be needed for admission to the park and concert. Tickets may be purchased in advance at a discounted rate through www.tickets.com for $27.50. Tickets may also be purchased at the theme park main gate on the evening of the event for $32.50. Again, ONLY SPECIAL TICKETS TO THIS EVENT will gain you admission to the park and this concert.OK,i doubt Nitro will be available to ride because then this whole camp out thing would be a waste!

Rickswmn what is the campout thing? I feel really stupid! The Survivor thing? I just spoke to someone else atGAdv andthey said Nitro will be running Fri night. (She thought most of the big rides(not Viper) would be open.

Almost all the pertinent info. is in the post from rickyswmn. I bought my ticket at Sam Goody in the New York area. They are selling tickets for 29.50. Also i received an email regarding this promotion from Six Flags last week. Season pass holders will have to pay an additional $10 to get in the park friday night. The email stated this is a "special event" and not included as part of the season for season passes. jgfama you've never heard z100 because it is out of New York. You may get Q102 from Philly, which is the same radio corporation. I don't think they are promoting the event though?

The camp out is for the first ride in the front row on Friday. Contestants were camping out wed. night and thurs. night. Nitro will be open friday night.

The campout is a contest where you could camp out overnight at GADV friday and the object was to come up with the best banner for your campsite in order to win the oppertunity to be the first in the general public to ride nitro Saturday morning at 6am.The wb station is going to broadcast the winners riding nitro on their 6am morning show so,i doubt any of the general public will be able to ride nitro on friday night.Maybe the vip's i spoke of will be the ones who can ride it otherwise,the whole camp out thing would be for nothing and people wouldn't bother with it if they could just walk in the park friday night and ride it.As for survivor,GA is hosting audtions for the first 700 people in the park. I haven't heard to much detail other then Viper being an immunity challenge.What i gather from my last post is the other rides will be open but,i'm sure nitro will be sealed off and,only for the vip's.

Thanks for all the help. I found the stuff at their site. Actually, I can get in the park with my seasons pass (and park entrance ticket) on Fri night and ride whatever rides are open. The $10.60 is to go to the concert! I hope Nitro is running but, heck a few trips on Medusa will make my Fri night AWESOME! I'm glad I found out about this. I wasn't planning on getting to the park early and I would have been BUMMING if I would have gotten there at like 8:30 PM and realized that I could have been "COASTIN'"!!!

Isnt the WB network broadcasting the winners of the campout on their morning show?? Can someone tell me when and on what channel the winners will be on? I want to tape it. Also, there will be heavy rain on friday, saturday, and sunday. I know this wont bother people but, take my word for it, the park sux in rain.

WB will broadcast the winners and film the ride on Friday morining. They have been advertising it for about 4 days now.

If they are broadcasting the ride on Fri morning maybe Nitro will be up and running on Fri Night!!! That means in less than 24 hours I'll be riding Nitro (hopefully- barring any bad weather or mechanical difficulties)! I let you know how it goes Fri PM around 11.
