You are notified *in advance* that the rides are closed. If you don't like it, turn around and leave.
Than, you don't have to pay full price, half price,
or anything!

Easier said than done. What if he or she traveled 3 hours and paid money for gas, parking, hotels, and other cost as well as wasted a great deal of their time. Is it reasonable just to turn around and go home?

Don't, Don't Don't believe, Don't believe the hype.

Good point Joe - I'm considering making a four hour trek to Great Adventure (provided my SFDL season pass that I just renewed arrives in time) so hopefully I'll have a decent time. I'm looking forward to riding Nitro since I missed out on it last year. Six Flags parks from my experience have been a crap shoot. Some days they're cool, other days they stink. That goes for SFNE, SFGAdv, SFDL, and of course SFWOA (which is bad most of the time). The most consistant park (and the one I've been at the most of course) is CP. They do a fairly good job of keeping every day of operation fairly consistant whether it is a May weekday or a July weekend. BGW has also been good, but I have not had nearly as many visits there as CP.

Or you could simply experience the other 36 attractions that *were* operating that day. Including, what, seven, eight coasters? Still more things to do than most parks.

I think SFGAdv is one of the *few* parks that could get away with that many ride closures (still sucks though..)

Besides, if we were really shutting down people we disagreed with, would Jeremy (2Hostyl) still be around? :) I think not. - Jeff 1/24/02

Perhaps not. I still say your best bet, and what I always attempt to do before I leave for a trip, is call ahead to see what is and is not operational. Your best bet for having as many of the park's attractions open as possible is to visit the park "peak season", June-August when they have all the kids out of school and the park is well staffed, etc.
