I was waiting in line for Chiller and started talking to the ride op because the ride was having problems and I was one of the only people left in line and he said this.......
He said that next season Batman will have lap bars along with a new paint job and BTR will have a new paint job. He also said that Viper will open next season with only lap bars. Thats funny isn't it a ride that holds you upside down that long with lap bars.
I also asked him what was in store for next season and he said a Vertical Velocity spiral coaster. He also said in the next couple years a flying , 4D and Giga will be installed and that I am 100 percent sure he doesn't know about. He also said all coasters af SFGAd will have lap bars eventually including Medusa. That was real funny because why would a park spend money for laps on a smooth as glass coaster. This guy was obviously full of S**t so Im wondering what your thoughts are.
"He also said in the next couple years a flying , 4D and Giga." Why would SFGAdv construct a giga-coaster when they have a 230 foot B&M hypercoaster? That guy's brain must be screwed up or something.

OBVIOUS MAN STRIKES AGAIN! (Non Sequiter...I read it too much)
Anyways, that ride op probably doesn't evn know what a 4D and flying coaster are. He probably picked them up from me and everyone else at Coaster Celebration, lol. Here's an idea from now on...wait until February 1st for the official announcement!

OK....to all you people saying "Why would they get a giga? They aready have a hyper!"...have you ever heard of a little park known as Cedar Point, located in Sandusky Ohio, only to be named the worlds greatest amusement park many years in a row? I guess not. You see, CP has two really good coasters. Yeah, maybe you've heard of them...Magnum XL-200 and Millennium Force. Magnum XL-200 is 205 feet tall with a 179 foot drop at a 60 degree angle. Well, I think that that would be a hyper, right? Now, last year they just installed this other one. Millennium Force. See, this one is 310 feet tall with a 300 foot drop at an 80 degree angle and goes 93 mph. This is known as a "Giga" coaster. So, it's perfectly logical for a park to build a hyper and a giga.

Nitro is 240 ft, compared to Magnum which is 205 ft. Magnum opened in 89, and Nitro opened in 2001. I doupt they need a Giga, but who knows
