urumqi- I live 2.5hrs from Waldameer and drive through Erie, PA several times each summer on the way to and from CP and KI. I’ve never been to Waldameer. Somehow I don’t feel wrong.
Lol, it’s not a feeling it’s my judgment ;)
tall and fast but not much upside down
Great America has a great coaster lineup ( actually one of my favorite coaster collections in the same place), but the park is run down and full of weeds instead of landscaping. Horrible operations. Overall it’s just not a good experience despite the great coasters
I would choose a Cedar Fair park over Six Flags anytime.

Winston, you will be wrong if you don't take a 2 hour detour to Waldameer to ride Ravine Flyer 2 on your to SF Great Adventure.
Meh. I've ridden RF2 as a spur on a trip to Pittsburgh and thought that it wasn't worth the trip. It certainly wasn't a bad ride, but in the absence of anything else of interest, I'll probably never go back to Waldameer and be perfectly fine.
Hobbes: "What's the point of attaching a number to everything you do?"
Calvin: "If your numbers go up, it means you're having more fun."
I haven't been to Wonderland in about five years but I will say it has a very impressive flat ride collection, which Great Adventure (my former home park) definitely does not.
Coasters aren't even close, Leviathan is probably the second best coaster between the two of them after El Toro but after that CW has got nothing especially notable, while GA has a vast array of high end coasters.
I also don't see the Great Adventure Is Badly Maintained thing in modern times at all. Have we visited after Shapiro?
Sorry to bring this dead thread back to life. Just wanted people to know I wasn't a liar. Life happened days before I was going to depart and my teenage son had to come live with me. That put an end to the SFGA trip on the spot. I did get a chance to go to CP twice, once with my son and once solo. My son just doesn't have the coaster bug, yet, at age 16 and refused to go on anything. I will post my trip report of when I went solo as soon as possible.
