SFGA made a bad decesion

Ok, for the people who have been to SFGA recently, did you notice the V2 que line maze is WAY to short? I mean, maybe shuttle coasters lose their crowds in a year or so, but what about now? The line extends all the way to the Iron Wolf, interfering with the midway passage. The should have made the que length A LOT longer. (Oh, and open up the bridge again. Jeez lol)
I know! There is alot of open space in the que area that they should have put in more winding because the midway gets very crowded. Hopefully Deja Vu will have more line.

by the way, it is SFGAm (six flags great america), not SFGA (six flags great adventure). :)
Sue me
SFGam.=Six Flags Great America

SFGadv.=Six Flags Great Adventure.

SFA=Six Flags America.

There are currently 11 coasters with the name Batman, 8 with the name Superman and 22 with the name Boomerang. Batman and Superman: The Ultimate Chiller Knight Flight Krypton Escape Ride.
Well, Tyler is right. At first I thought this would be about Great Adventure. But I guess it's about my home park, and I thought there was a chance at that. Thats why I looked.

I don't think it is a bad decision. Like you said, it loses populairity after a couple years. SFGAm is not looking at short term problems, but long term ones. The decision they made is the right one, I think.

An example of one of thier bad decisions is all the maze for American Eagle. Only about 1/4 of it is used in the tent when it is busy! The rest just has moss or alge or something growning on it. They probably didn't want to repeat this.

I can be rude. I'm going to try to be nicer on these boards from this date forward, May 21, 2001 *** This post was edited by TrBiggar on 5/21/2001. ***
I agree with TrBiggar, it wasn't a bad move. All new coasters have problems with crowds at first. The crowds start to die down after a few years, or a new coaster will come in to thin out the crowd.

There is definitely not moss or algae on those queue rails! They receive just as much love and attention as any other queue in the park.

Cleanliness is #2! ;-)

No, I'm serious, in the area of the queue that is never used, the cement is discolored green. I doubt it is alge, there is never any water pooling there, so I think it is moss. It isn't really bad, just discolored a bit. Oh, and past experience at that park is cleanliness is not number 2, but number 10. That park is dirty! At least the bathrooms and rides are sanitary!

I think it's a very GOOD thing they built a short que. They are smart (unlike CP), in my opinion. I'd much rather wait in a long curving que over the hill to grannies than go back and forth thru a bunch of stainless steel zig-zags.

Ow! My lap bar IS down all the way.
(Off-topic here, but regardless: You should try to be a tad more specific with abbreviations. SFGA could mean either Great America or Great Adventure...

However, since Great Adventure isn't installing a V2 [this year! ;)], we could have made the easy deduction that the original poster was talking about Great America.)

Actually, I was there today. . .there seems to be quite a bit of open blacktop under the ride itself. . .they could extend the pathway on the side closest to the water and then run more of a line underneath the straight-away. Just an idea!
Your right, American Eagle's Line does get full during summer crowds, but I have only seen this happen once. During most normal days, you walk all the way up to the bridge and wait. But for V2, I'm sure this line will extend out of Yankee Harbor, and probably into County Fair, or Orleans place (It depends on which way the crowd decideds to curve) Maybe in a few years this line will calm down, but not anytime soon.

There is no such thing as a stupid question, just stupid people.
American Eagles que line under the tent was there when the ride opened 20 years ago and it was a smart move back then because it was constantly full. Fast forward to today and yes, there is really no need for that much line que anymore.

The V2 que line is going to be a nightmare during the constant crowded days come this summer. They really should used the pier and bridge next to it for more line usage. Who knows? Maybe when they see how out of control it gets this summer, they might just change the planning of it.

It does look like A bad decision, but who knows, this is the start of the ride, its not as busy, you would think they would have something planned. They know what they are doing, now if there is nothing planned, they are really really messed up for what they did. The first day it opened, while I walked through there, not waiting, we just hurried. I was very suprised.
If you're gonna be picky about park abbreviations, at least get it right. Great Adventure's official abbeviation (per the Marketing Department) is SFGAd. Great America's is SFGAm. Six Flags America's is SFA. There, that should settle it.
