SFGA - Pretty decent lineup?

My wife and I are going to Chicago this year to visit some friends. Is it worth making a stop at SFGA? Looks to me like a pretty solid lineup, especially this year with V2 and DejaVu. I've heard nothing but good things about Raging Bull.

Should we visit or pass it by?
I am planning a visit to this park this year. Overall, it looks like a great park, strong coaster lineup with American Eagle, Raging Bull, Viper, V2, Batman, Shockwave (i'll skip the stand up (ouch) and the Vekoma headbanger :)). plus its your chance to ride one of the last (if not the last) Schwartzkopf speedracers. This park also has a very strong lineup of flatrides, and good theming.

It looks like one of six flags better parks, man did they do a lot better job with it than Paramount did in CA (the parks were identical when they split except for American Eagle).
Good Lineup? This place has it all - Inverted, Stand-Up, Hyper, Racing Woodie, Twister Woodie, Speed Racer, 2 Looping Coasters, Giant Drop, Impulse, Inverted Boomerang.

Don't pass up this gem of a park. It's my home park and I love it.

Shockwave is built by Arrow Dynamics. As is Demon.

It wouldn't be a good idea to miss out on SFGAM. IMO they compete with CP in quality.

Don't miss it! It's worth the money until you start buying food in the park, but isn't every park like that?
Someone said to skip the stand-up.
1. It's not called "the stand-up," call it by the real name, Iron Wolf!
2. It's not any worse than Shockwave

There really is no coaster you should skip, but if your going to skip one, make it be Demon. It's just a double-loopscrew. Nothing big, nothing special. No matter what the cost, do not skip Whizzer! That coaster isn't intense at all, but it sure is fun!
One last note, someone said they have a headbanging Vekoma... how do you know it's headbanging??? None of the 3 clones are open, so don't judge it! And anyways I've always heard Vekmoas are fairly smooth for the first few years.

SFGAm is the BEST! I think it has one of the best, if not the best coaster line-up anywhere. You want thrills, GA will give you as much as you want.
Like TrBiggar said above, you wouldn't want to miss Iron Wolf. Sure it's a little rough, but it's still unique and fun.
I would not miss SFGAm, It's a great park, and now with the addition of V2 (Which is awesome) and Deja Vu, there has never been a better time to visit.

Don't fight it, Ride it, Raging Bull!

1. Raging Bull is one of the great steel masterpieces.

2. Viper is the most underrated wooden ride in the world. Its easily the best ride in the park.

3. Iron Wolf is the most underrated steel coaster in the world. It gets bashed contstantly, but that's mainly by sissies. Its a very, very wild, intense ride.

4. Batman is great, just as all the Batman clones are.

5. AE is just unique, and cool. its not a great ride by any means, but its just.....interesting.

6. Haven't been on V2 but SUE is very fun. I think its overrated by most people, but its a fun ride. nothing spectacular, though.

7. HMMmmmmm......Deja Vu. *drool*

8. The park is just....gorgeous. Add in some other great rides like demon and shockwave, and you got yerself one of the last remaining great coaster parks.

If you're going to miss Whizzer, then don't visit the park at all. No trip to SFGAm is complete without this coaster.

Let the bears pay the Bear Tax, I pay the Homer Tax.
Darnit, I will never forgive PGA for getting rid of the Whizzer. Some kid got hurt in the loading station, and that was the end of it. Not many Schwarzkopf rides left in Califonia, Jet Star at Boardwalk was removed, now we got an oldschool weight-driven Shuttle Loop at PGA and Revolution at SFMM. Hopefully someone will bring Olympia Looping to the states, although I don't think it could be better than Texas Tornado (Thriller). That has to be the coaster that pulls more G's than any other, as far as my coaster experience has told me.

It seems that everytime I visit the park, whizzer is down for something. At least last year, and for my first visit this year it was.

Don't miss out at this park. Sure there are are few bad things (lines, bad people, not as clean as can be) but there are TONS of better things about the park. It has GREAT coasters, with I think the best theming in a SF park (check out S.W. territory) It has a "traditional" feel to me. And plenty of rides for all different ages. Be sure to hit this park, and try to ride everything, each ride is unique.
