SFGA - Music Would Be A Plus!

I wish SFGA would play music on their rides. Nothing is more boring than being on a great ride and hearing nothing but the roar of the ride itself, or the wind, or the screams of the riders. Seaside Heights (which does not have very good rides btw) does play some kickin' loud music and it makes all the difference! Anyone agree??

I absolutely love listening to music on coasters, but that's why I carry a discman with me at all times. That way I don't need to worry about not hearing anything while on coasters.

Joe, who listens to "Long Way Down" by Goo Goo Dolls on MF.

That's cool Legendary! I do the same thing. I usually listen to Moby while strolling up and down those tiring hills at SFMM.

Thank you Disney, thank you...
Now when you say SFGA do you mean Great Adventure or Great America.

Six Flags Great America = SFGAM
Six Flags Great Adventure = SFGADV

Something that is lacking at SFGAm more than any other park I have been is TREES!!!!!!! Parks like Busch Gardens Williamsburg, Cedar Point, and Paramount's Kings Island all have a fair ammount more trees. Even the smaller parks like Hersheypark and Dorney have more trees.
Cedar Point does not have a lot of trees. The entire front of the park is a wide open space.

Anyway, doesn't B:TR have music like the one at SFGAm?

I would do anything to get rid of that obnoxious Looney Tunes doing Elvis songs they played over and over and over again at SFO, err SFWOA all last season.
never been on a coaster that has music on the ride, that would be so sweet. It seems like it would be hard to hear though with the wind.
here's an idea for a future coaster. A completely enclosed and soundproof train.
pitch black... can barely hear anything but the music.
I don't vote for alot of coasters being enclosed because that lowers the thrills alot, but I think it would be a great idea for 1 type. it would be like a modern-day coaster that's enclosed in a building, but since the individual trains would be enclosed there'd be no distracting whirring noise.

I make virtual roller coasters and theme the music either "Unbelievable" by EMF or "Elevation - TM Remix" by U2. I put my mini mp3 on when I ride. It rules!

Actually, aside from the Southwest Territory, SFGAm has plenty of trees...

Thank You for challenging TOS: The Ride. We hope you enjoy the rest of your day, here at SFCB.

California Screamin's Sound System is so cool. It makes a good ride the best ride on my list. It's so cool. Someone else should explain. There are like 2 speakers per rider.

SFGAM has way more trees than cp. It isnt even close

Alright, I'm someone else.

Screamin' has a great sound system. The music is acually synched up to portions of the ride. Sitting there before the LIM launch, the music gets very tense. The first part of the ride is very quick. The lifthill is slow and melodic (carousel music), and so on and so forth.

Unfortunately, if you ride enough, you get so sick of the music that you WISH it weren't there. :)

Space Mountain (DL) has music too, but it doesn't play very often. This is just technical.

Rock 'N Roller Coaster does it really well. The music is clear, very, very fun to ride with, and Aerosmith. I'm not sure riding gets better.

Califronia Screamin, I am a Disney freak so don't get me started! Rock N Roller Coaster and CAS have the same type of sound systmem. There are subwoofers under each seat (24) and there are mid range behind you, and teeters on the sides of each rider, CAS has an additional Speaker in the middle. Each rider has 4 speakers. Rock N Roller Coaster has the same, just no extra speaker in the middle. I think the Aerosmith is Rock N Rollercoaster's saving grace, that ride would be boring with out it, and I have loved every coaster I have ridden! The theming in the ride itself helps to, but I would prefer it to be PITCH dark, I really which the music on that ride was louder, it's not quiet, but with the roar of the coaster, and usually multiple trains in the building, you can't hear it quite as well. When you get to the brake run though, you finnaly can really hear it good, and it is great sounding, the bass really kicks!

Cali Screamin is a great ride anyway, and the music is Iceing, now Disney inevented this whole on ride music phenominon with Space Mountain in Disneyland Paris, they couldn't use CD's or cassetees so they put the sections of music on these files, essentially inventing the modern day MP3 that we know it as nowm years before Napstar or KaZaa existed. When the ride passes points in the track, the train picks up these cencors, that change the music track, reasons like say there was a back up before the launch, you wouldn't want the soundtrack for the corkscrew playing for the launch would you? NO! So the music will play until it runs over the censor, reason why if you have been stuck on Cali Screamin or on a break run, the music plays but plays the same thing over and over agian appearing the skip, like a CD does. The Music was so popular Space Mountain at DL got it, but the trains weren't designed for it so it runs on a hit or mis basis, it adds a lot to the ride, even if it has one speaker per rider, it is still loud and awesome! It's on the net in multiple places to.
