As for other Florida location rumors, this happens about every 2 years or so - someone hears that SF has secretly bought land at X, even the papers pick it up on occasion. Best one was the one that said that the Indian tribe close to St. Cloud was going to partner with Six Flags to build a park, that one carried some credibility due to the time it was going around (when SF was buying every park in sight).
Best locations to put a park in Florida are Homestead (close to Miami, within 2 hours of a huge population base - Miami to West Palm Beach); just North of West Palm Beach (same as above plus within 2 hours of most of the eastern coastal areas and 2.5 hours of Orlando); Jacksonville area (large untapped metro area, within 2 hours of central Florida, north Florida and southern Georgia).
Have Fun!

Yes, I think that for Florida being the tourist hotspot, that they certainly do not have enough roller coasters (can anyone have enough???), and a Six Flags could/would be great there (well, let's not get into the bad SF debate here). I also think one should be built in Vegas too. Is it going to happen in either of these places any time soon? Um, NO!!!
