SFEG 6/3

Associated parks:
None

All of the ACE members met at the front entrance. Then we all walked back for some ERT on Twister II.

(1-5 Smiles. 5=best)

Twister II (5 laps):
We were greeted by new airlock gates. These are a lot better than the old chains. We got the first ride of the day on the red train. Twister II was running good today. Good positive g's and little pops of airtime. I really like the dark tunnel. It was rougher in the back, but if you sit in the front, you will be fine. The very front is the best. :) :) :) :)

SFEG decided to open Tower Of Doom for us so off we went!

Tower Of Doom (2 drops):
Thrilling ride. TOD offers great views of the park, the new mile high stadium, Pepsi Center, and downtown Denver. :) :) :) :) :)

Now we headed towards the Mind Eraser just as the park was opening. We managed to beat the crowds.

Mind Eraser (1 lap):
This ride is very fun when it is smooth. Today there was no headbanging at all! B&M inverteds will always be better much though. :) :) :) :)

Thunder Road Demolition Derby (1 drive):
Bumper Cars! A good way to make enemies. ;) We waited about five minutes. :) :) :)

Sidewinder (2 laps):
We sat in the second to last seat. Wow! I've never had such great airtime on a looper! Ejector air going down the first drop! The ride op was nice enough to let us ride twice without getting off. :) :) :)

Chaos (1 spin):
I love this ride. Very disorienting. :) :) :) :)

Turn Of The Century (1 spin):
This is a swings ride over water. Always fun. :) :) :)

We met the ACE members to eat lunch. I had a hot dog and fries. Then we noticed Boomerang was testing. We walked over and waited for a while as they ran it through the circuit about five times. Finally they opened it and we were first in line!

Boomerang (1 lap):
I had never been in the front before so that was fun. Smooth and fun! :) :) :)

After we left the park it started to rain. I thought that was good timing!

My brother went to Elitch's in the past week and he said that there are no gates in the station instead of chains. Is that true?

IM me at Asharpeshooter21 PT300!!

The Devils are going to get buried, by an AVALANCHE! Lets get it for Bourque!

Yes, there are new gates for Twister II and Mind Eraser. Maybe they just put them in?

Are some people over-critical? I've never been to SFEG, but it sounds like you had a really good time when reading other posts on this site led me to believe that to be impossible.
I have a good time riding any coasters. Boomerang and Mind Eraser are just "cookie-cutter" rides but they can still be fun. Twister II is better than what most people say and there isn't anything wrong with Sidewinder.

I wouldn't mind going sometime, but it is pretty far out of the way and not attractive enough to get most enthusiasts or anyone in general to want to go. The main reason I would want to go is for Twister II, but hopefully, they've been saving up for a star coaster. They really need it.

Everything above was my opinion. If you disagree, please respond in an intelligent fashion. But before you post,I warn you that some people say I'm just too smart to understand. Please take that into consideration.
The gates at Mind Eraser and Twister 2 were added during the off season. The chains sucked, no one would close them and loading the trains was completely disorganized. This year they also put a cover on the Turn of the Century. Hollywood and Vine was repainted during the off season, and a couple weeks ago the doors were added, now it takes forever to load and unload. Also some of the track was reworked on the Twister 2 over the off season.
I have to admit I'm intrigued by this park. I don't think I've even seen pictures of it except for the small ones on the official website. Does anyone have a park map online? I'm really curious to see how little room they have for expansion.
I've seen the park map, you can't really judge from that because it whites out all areas outside the park.

You know what I find funny, the two lowest rated SF parks(SFEG and SFKK) are also the closest to it's prospective city. *** This post was edited by goonsta on 6/6/2001. ***
Here is a park map from 1999 (nothing much has changed since then):

Try Rollercoaster Database for some pictures. I know there is another site with SFEG pics but I can't find it right now.
