SFDL Items at SFKK

Thursday, June 20, 2002 10:43 PM
I was in the waterpark at SFKK on Tuesday and noticed that almost all of the innertubes said Darien Lake on them. Not that its a big deal or anything, it just seemed odd to me. They were also selling Batman The Ride t-shirts there, but I dont think they have a B:TR. Just wandering if anyone else had noticed parks getting other parks stuff.

That sounds like Six Flags to me!

SFoG has Astroworld pencils. It seems odd, but I guess merchandise gets mixed up every now and then.

They probably make surplus of a product and ship the extra to other parks. That would make sense.

I also noticed that. And in their gift shop, I was able to buy a Six Flags Elitch Gardens lapel pin :)

I picked up a Six Flags Elitch Gardens keychain at SFKK before we left for Holiday World and SRM 2002.

SFOT has SFEG items last year as well. Just general shipment or packaging screw ups I'm guessing.

Or just a way for Six Flags to get money off surplus merchandise.

Well, the old humongo-mugs at SFGAm actually had a very easily depicted picture of Mamba on the front, and the new ones show Goliath (a wee bit closer there.)

I'm finding that, at least at SFGAm, there is a lot more 'non-park' related merchandise.

I dont think they would show Mamba because Cedar Fair might sue them.

I'm telling you, SF inc. is getting back at Cedar Fair for having Nitro all over the Xcelerator T-Shirts. (Actually, the design firm for the T-Shirt worked on both coasters, so they had 1 design).

I love shirts or glasses that clearly show the wrong kind of coaster.......or a bad drawing. The current Timbers shirt which shows it as an Arrow comes to mind!

When I worked in gift shops at Geauga Lake, we got a case of Elitch Gardens mugs. This was the season before they took over Six Flags however. I also believe that another stand got a case of Darien Lake hats. I think that the companies that print merchandise get the orders confused and they end up at the wrong park.

They've got some Superman:Ultimate Escape t-shirts at Six Flags New England and many New Englander's actually buy them thinking there for S:ROS.

You'll also find Great Adventure stuff at Six Flags New England when they start running low on SFNE stuff. They had Great Adventure phanny packs on clearance(sale, but I'd say 60% off is clearance in this case) two weeks ago.

The Vortex and Chang picture have been in a map for almost every Six Flags park sometime. You'd think they'd atleast pick a different coaster for the maps or alternate instead of using the same thing across country.
