SFAmerica and Dorney Question

These are two of the parks that I hope to hit sometime this summer.

How are the crowds at these parks on weekends compared to weekdays? Which days are the best to visit these two parks?

SFA get can a little bit busy on weekends, but if you go early on a Sunday you can probably beat a lot of the crowds because many of the clientele are in church (I hoped the same strategy would work at Hershey, it didn't:() I don't remember Dorney being all that busy on a Sunday either, but that may have changed with the addition of Talon. You didn't specify if you were a Six Flags season pass holder, but if you are you can take advantage of Primetime, an early admittance program for certain rides. (Sundays are S:ROS, Tuesdays are Batwing) *** This post was edited by Intamin Fan on 6/21/2001. ***
Dorney Park is just unbearable on Saturday afternoons, but usually its hot and most of the people are in wildwater Kingdom, but still some lines are big.

I went to Dorney on a Saturday and the lines for the Coasters weren't bad but,i couldn't believe how bad the lines were at the waterpark and the line for the Dominator was longer then any of the coaster lines!!It was definately a strange experience to me :)

No, not a season pass holder at any park.

Being season hockey ticket holders for the Hershey Bears, we get 3 "1 day passes" for entry into Hersheypark for each full season hockey seat we buy. Each season they also have a "customer appreciation night" where each person at the game gets a "1 day pass" to the park (to be used before July 4th of the next park season). So that is 4 times a season my wife and I can go to Hersheypark for free.

As for Six Flags season passes... Those passes are good at any Six Flags park? Next year we are thinking of a trip up to Maine and hitting a few parks along the way (including Six Flags New England). With Six Flags America being so close to home, we may consider one then. (Especially if The Great Escape... a Six Flags "property" but not a labled park... will honor a Six Flags pass).

Tuesdays are the BEST day to go to Dorney! The crowds that are there are very light, and most of the people that ARE there, are over at the waterpark. I just went to Dorney this past Tuesday, and all of the coasters and most of the rides were walk-ons, even TALON!!! The longest I waited for a ride was probably 5 minutes! Go to Dorney on a Tuesday!

TALON rocks! Peace Out!

Taken from the back of my SFA pass:

SIX FLAGS THEME PARKS, THE GREAT ESCAPE AND WYANDOT LAKE PASSES: Once processed at the park shown on the reverse side, your season pass may be used at any Six Flags Theme Park, The Great Escape and Wyandot Lake on regular operating days (not valid at waterparks or Frontier City/White Water Bay).

hope that makes everything transparent

Well i havent been to SFA yet but i will by the end of the summer but it depends what your looking for. if you wanna save money then head to dorney park becuase im sure SFA is exspensive and over prices like all other SF parks. but dorney park could be really weird with crowds and crowd control becuase when i went the water park was closed so everyone was in dorney park only. talon had about a 30min wait by the end of the day wich was around 5pm for me then herculies had about A 10 TO 15MIN WAIT THE WHOLE DAY BECUASE THEY HAD ONE TRAIN RUNNING ONLY so even if you where in the staion it was ganna be awhile. then same thing for thuner hauk one train but only about 5 to 10mins the whole day. then for lazer it was about 10mins by 5pm as for steel force it was about less then 15mins and dominater the blast up side had a 10min wait and the blast down was prop about 20mins maybe 30 . and dorney park thought they dident need to open the 3rd tower? they should strongly look at it. as for SFA i have freidns who have been there they said always go on a weekday and get there erilie and thats all i can say about SFA
