BATWING FAN SFA

Yesterday we made our monthly voyage to SFA.After waiting in a long line to get in the park we were told that batwing would not open until after 2 pm so we decided to head on back to s:ros to start our day, well who ever said batwing would open past 2 pm was wrong because we got about half way there and saw that it was indeed open!so we jumped in line and had to wait about an hour to ride, which is not too bad considering that they were only running one train. The batwing crew did a pretty good job loading the ride pretty fast though. After our first flight we decided to go again, once again about an hour's wait in line.I can't believe how intense this ride is,you must be pulling at least 4 g's through that loop.and that helix is also mighty intense as well.We asked about when the ride will begin multi- train operation and they said in a couple of weeks. After batwing we decided to hit some wood so we headed for roar which was nearly a walk on.after that we took a head banging spin on mind eraser which had a long but fast line.Wild one took forever to get on but was fun as always. After that we headed back over to batwing and got in another quick flight, the batwing que closes at around 8 pm so get in line at around 7 or 7:30 just to be safe.while in line we could see that s:ros was stuck on the lift again,as for batwing it ran perfectly with no delays or break downs all day.after that we decided to end our day on s:ros which took forever as well even with 2 trains running!we ended up catching the 2nd to last train of the night and it was running faster than ever.by the way has any one noticed the path extensions on either side of the main path leading to batwing?one goes under s:ros I wonder if that's where next year's ride is going .I guess we'll find out then.my next SFA run is set for 8/4/01,I hope to have many more batwing rides by then.

the major theme elements for batwing is mainly in the landscaping and scenery on the midway as you approach the ride. Canalman:where's your trip report? I havn't seen it yet?

Are "they" ever going to have that two train operation working soon because it's getting really stupid because the station is designed for a two train operation but hasn't "lived up to it's promise," or what Vekoma said.
