SFA 5/24 Skycoaster Up!

Associated parks:
None

Seeing that the weather is not looking favorable for the next several days I decided to take a trip today on a Thursday to SFA and take advantage of all the sunshine. Again it was mostly schoolgroups. Crowds were light again (I'm enjoying it while it lasts). Well the first thing I noticed walking towards Wild One was four yellow supports for the Skycoaster. Boy they don't mess around. Last week it was just a hole in the ground. Near the end of the day they had added a dark blue bridge that connects the two main supports. It looks awfully pretty. The only thing new on Batwing was the addition of an outside queue area which will be beyond the station. The station is looking like it is almost finished. A construction worker came over and talked to us and told us it had tested successfully and that it would open June 6. The airgates jammed on S:ROS again but this time only the first 3 rows were affected so they just closed off those rows. Lines were extremely short for S:ROS and I loved every minute of it. It was also nice to run into Wildone for the first time this season. *** This post was edited by Intamin Fan on 5/24/2001. ***
