Don't forget that they're also getting an Impulse AND a water coaster for NEXT season, according to coastergurl. It only makes sense that they'd need to add something the size of an Impulse the exact same year that they're taking over the world record. It's not like a record breaker would pull in crowds on its' own. But I'm just a little boy, what do I know?Mike - not a boy and never confused with being little
Ugh.... Do you know this for a FACT? Rumors fly fast, who knows what this park is getting in 2006. Personally if they wanted to tell us, it would be posted on the webpage for new additions 2006.
SFA has not added a junior coaster yet. You and coastergirl are just talking about extreme rides. Everyone doesn't do extreme rides. Second, why would SF give us another big addition when we don't know if attendance will go up or not. SF wouldn't have realeased this kind of information, especially with HH not even done yet. But aye, PROVE ME WRONG!!!!!!
To the new addition of 2005....

Coastergurl started a thread in the general buzz section Saturday night proclaiming that she personally heard from the operations manager that SFA was not only getting a coaster that would DWARF KK, but also an Impulse AND a water coaster all for NEXT season because Bill Gates and friends invested in SFA and demanded that SFI spend $40 million on SFA next season.
I basically told her she was full of it and the thread got deleted after she had some nice words for me. The little boy comment was in reference to coastergurl calling me a little boy in the same thread. Considering I'm about to turn 29 and I weight over 220, I'm not little in either sense.
Personally I would be surprised if any of these coasters showed up at SFA NEXT year, especially the record breaker. The most likely IMO is the water coaster. Don't they have trouble with Typhoon Sea Coaster?
Anyway, coastergurl is a braggard who doesn't have a clue as to how parks spend their money. The money is allocated from corporate and Bill Gates can't just invest in SFA, as claimed by coastergurl. If he dropped money into the chain, coporate doesn't have a legal obligation to put half of that money into SFA for one season, as also claimed by coastergurl.
The fact that her previous thread was DELETED and not merely closed speaks volumes to me.

But seriously if (or according to you, when) SFA annouces a 500' tall coaster next year, I'll be the first to admit that I was wrong and you were right. I guess they could call it "Six Flags: the Ride." On the launch track they would have a sign that reads "Six Flags opens SFOT." at the very top of the hill would be a second sign: "Premier buys out Six Flags" and at the end of the brake run there's one final sign: "Six Flags Now."
If you can't stand the heights, get out of the line.
Logic:
Why on earth would SF put a 500' roller coaster at SFA one year after they built a record coaster at SFGadv and remodeled SFA's water park and turned it into a Hurricane Harbor? Why would they build another 500' roller coaster at Six Flags America with Six Flags Great Adventure's own record breaking coaster so close?
Was the ops manager name Paul Ruben?

I have worked at SFA and even asked supervisors, managers and executives if they could hint on a new ride. They always say that the information is not given out to employees and that they plan depending on the performance of the season. So it hard to believe that Paul's information is true. After all, they are nothing but managers, not executives!!!
Even if SFA gets this ride of such magnitude, I am pretty sure that the community (former resident) will protest against it and demand to reduce the height of the ride. The community is expanding thus they have of say...
But I could be wrong!, its just what I know and think :) Usually, I wait on Sam Mark's say because his relationship with the park is 'tight'
