SFA-10/12

Associated parks:
None

I decided at the last minute to go to SFA (big surprise), figuring I'd run into someone like last week. After fighting horrible traffic, I get inside the park and it's pretty crowded. First thing I went to was S:ROS which had a mild line. I was quite happy with the crew today. They managed several dispatches without the other train hitting the brakes. That's a major improvement over the crew in August and September. Then I bit the bullet and waited in Batwing's line, which was unfortunately not moving very well. Only three rows of the queue were filled, but they were a little short staffed (big surprise again) for checking restraints. But, by the time I got on it was pretty dark, which I didn't mind. Passing the dormant Joker's Jinx, which was closed for the second week in a row, I went south. South, as in the Southwest Territory. There, I rode Two Face, Wild One, and Tower of Doom. Say what you want about the park, but Wild One is very well maintained, and provides a consistent smooth ride (for a woodie). Next, it was onto the always dependable Roar! As this point I was feeling very tired, but figured I would make the walk back to Gotham City for one last ride on S:ROS. Sure enough, I run into 2Hostyl. He hasn't ridden any wood tonight, so we walk back towards Roar. On our way there we bump into GoWithGravity. At Roar we then run into Alan and Diane, two more SFA usual suspects. After Hostyl and I made our rounds on Roar and Wild One, we all conviened back at S:ROS (imagine that!) for the rest of the night. Alan and Diane once again got on the last train of the night. Oh well, there's always next week. It was another relatively good night, and all the flats were running again, except for Sky Escaper. I would love to know what's wrong with that ride. Lastly, Alan, Diane, and GWG said the haunted train ride is a must-miss.

I've been hearing alot of people say Jokers Jinx was closed is it possible that it is getting lap bars. When I went in July one train ( the purple one ) was in operation the other was on the transfur track.
I was at SFA last night also and I didn't think the crowds were that bad. I agree that  the haunted train ride and hay ride weren't all that scary. The haunted house wasn't too bad.
I was there on 9-16(see trip report,) and got 3 rides on Jokers jinx with hardly any wait for the front. Its also had a 2 train operation all day, and wasn't down once. I rode Batwing once in the front with about a 40 minute wait. Road all the other coasters several times with SROS being the one most ridden. I like that coaster.
