okay, so my family planned to go to chicago to see our beloved tribe play the chisox at comiskey on saturday night. we drove out of akron around 4 on friday and stopped for the night in south bend. we traveled to chicago and walked around the city, went to the game at 6 where the tribe got pounded, and went back to our hotel. that next morning, we headed out to that cool little place called gurnee. it rained all night and hadn't stopped. we pulled in the parking lot at sfgamr and stopped in front of shockwave. not one of the coasters were running, except for the viper. then, all of a sudden, here comes a train out of shockwave. cool for a arrow looper. we turned around and left, waiting to see if the rain would stop. we went to gurnee mills, and all i can say is WOW. that was the coolest mall i have ever been too. during that, i stepped outside once to see if it stopped raining. yessss, id did. if it stopped raining, we would go back(it was also freezing, we arent afraid of rain). so about an hour later, we left the mills and it was drizzling. darn. we went to eat to see if it would hold up any. it didnt. so, we will go back to gurnee with our passes later in the season. shoot shoot shoot. btw- maybe i am not used to really big cities, but chicago(outside of the skyscrapers downtown), is a very runned down city. when you go, you drive for 20 minutes through projects and ghettos. but, downtown is nice. so i didnt end up riding my #1 to ride b&m on that day, but later in the year hopefully i will.
