SF Great America - Sun, 4/27

Took a quick trip to Gurnee today, weather was a bit chilly, but not too bad. The park was EMPTY. Everything, and I mean everything was a complete walk-on. Maybe a one, possibly two train wait for front seat.. otherwise stations were empty.

Just made one loop around the park and hit all the coasters (except Iron Wolf - don't like it). Checked out the entrance to the new coaster - looks nice.

What shocked me was upon arrival - $25.00 for general parking (to the left of the toll booths) and $15.00 for reduced parking in the nosebleed section (ususally only used for overflow on busy days). TWENTY FIVE BUCKS - ouch.

Luckily I'm a season pass holder, so I paid the $25 and went to Pass Processing and bought parking pass - $65.00 (only $40 with the receipt).

The park did look great. There are few dismantled remains of my baby Deja Vu left - should be completely out soon. Splashwater is gone completely.

Needless to say it was a great day to be at the park. Looking forward to when Dark Knight opens.
